Great relationships with the other employees of all departments

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Can be a high stress environment, but team building is highly valued at this company. That being said, there's a lot of behind the scenes conflict too

Pros

Lots of room to make mistakes, grow from them, and gain experience

Cons

Your position may not be as secure as you think it is, The training is not as thorough as it could be, and often times you are thrown to the sharks

Easy Work but you're Just a Number - Outdated Policies/Misleading Practices

The company is completely fine as it pertains to the job itself you have to do, everything surrounding it is a complete mess. The people controlling schedules and everything surrounding the employees are completely unreachable and your direct managers have no say on anything which is laughable at best.Policies they have are completely outdated and they only want to enforce rules when it's convenient to them despite having contradicting policies in different handbooks. All you are to the company is a number, do you hit every single metric, even if you excel in general if there's one metric you don't hit they make you feel terrible for it.If you ever need help in a call there's only 2 people maximum that will help. Pay is not worth the lack of emotion and humanity displayed by 95% of the people in the company. Could go on and on about the issues, but if you're looking for something quick and easy and can put the mess aside, it's for you but should not be considered something long term.PS Make sure the schedule you decide is one you can do permanently, they will NOT switch you over even after requesting it for at the very minimum 6 months.

Pros

Easy Work

Cons

Just a number, contradicting policies, no communication, no support

Hours are good, bad, metrics are not very good. very stressful to not get escalations for ridicules reasons and write ups are not easy to avoid.

I worked there for 3 years. Metrics need to be more lenient. It really is not easy to hit those goals that they expect from you. Its a job that pays the bills. They do offer advancement, but you need to have a basically perfect record.

Pros

cash bonus if you make certain metric, m-f

Cons

metrics are very unreasonable, not very forgiving.

Overworked and underpaid

Company does not care for employees. Will have you work every weekend, all holidays (without double time), no support from management, and very high turnover rate. Within my time with the company I saw over 9 people quit or be let go because management decided they were not needed anymore (even though your short staffed majority of the time). They have you do double the work but pay you same compensation as when you started. They hire their friends from outside of work (which is fine, if they actually did work) and the outlook of the “team” is more like cliques. HR is also no help as they are lap dogs to the on-site managers. Seriously though, managers do NOT support you nor care about the workload they give.

Great company / difficult industry

I loved the company I worked for but it is a very difficult industry. They compensate their people well to make up for it and they provide excellent management support. Can't have thin skin if you work on site.

Pros

Independent work day

Cons

Board meetings

Great people, horrible pay.

There is absolutely no chance to advance within the company to make a living. I wouldn’t waste your time, it’s not changing anytime soon. Nice people to work with, but Management will never pay you fairly.

Great Place to work

Great culture and support structure with amazing growth opportunities. Compensation for work performance and workload is severely lacking. Peers do not pull their weight at all times, poor performance is overlooked.

Pros

Culture, growth

Cons

Pay, workload

Hard work and disappointing results

Hard work was rewarded with more work due to shortage of staff. No room for growth or opportunities. The company could have potential but needs better management.

Most residents are pleasant, management is not consistent.

The manager that hired me was great! The staff worked well together as a team. The subsequent management went downhill with each change. Corporate leaders are clueless. No support for employees.

Productive, fast paced environment

Management was very supportive and understanding. Staff not as much. Benefits could be better. Great property and opportunity to learn and develop new skills as the property was always busy.

Productive workplace

I learned and acquired a lot of skills and experience necessary to succeed in a corporate environment. The raises were frequent as long as you put in the effort to succeed.

Productive and fun environment

This is a incredible opertunity for me to get make a honest living. You will not regret working there. It is truly a blessing to do so. There isn't much to complain about but I wish the pay was a lot better. But it's a low skilled job.

Property Managers are arrogant and inexperienced.

If you're a new property manager this is the place for you. Senior pm's are arrogant and need to move on. Gossip is ramped amongst downtown managers and circulating support staff. I believe the ceo of the Vancouver branch is trying to run a tight ship but there are so many unprofessional and inexperienced staff under him, I believe it's impossible. Zero, flexibility and zero support from senior pm's. It's too bad because occasionally they hire a great pm but they do not stay long once they realize what a bleep show this company is and how poorly run it is. Smoke and mirrors .....
