I loved working at firehouse. Gave me a good reason to love my job and be enthusiastic.
I had the mindset to be the best employee since working there was a pleasure, but I believe I was under a 3 months probation so I got fired when I messed up talking to a manager. I used her race as a description.

Pros and Cons to Working Here
Owners and management expected you too not have a life and to always be on call to take other co-workers shifts. Rules were constantly changing, management is inconsistent. If you're friends with the manager, you get special treatment. Environment is fast-paced, never enough employees and the customers are always right.

Horrible Lying Inexperienced Management
Worked 4 shifts until they didn't contact me or pay me. Had to contact the ministry of labour to get paid and even then they paid me the wrong amount per hour and charged me for a uniform I never even received. Kept changing my rate of pay without notice. Would not tell me why I was let go and what went wrong. Management is inexperienced about even the most simple things like schedule forecasting, and don't know how to order product so that you're not running to "borrow" from other store. They made me use my gas and car to do a Skip order when they forgot to bag items. They don't have a formal interview process and don't train you, just leaving you to figure everything out for yourself. It's impossible to contact store owners, as they don't even know how horribly their stores are being run and how they are not making a profit. Store does not seem capable of keeping staff, understandable since management doesn't know how to run the store themselves. Overall, coming from a management position at another company, im not sure how Firehouse Subs has not yet went out of business.

The owners only restaurant experience is buying a franchise 5 years ago, and it shows. They only ever want to hear yes any other answer even if it's the truth will only make them mad. They hire inexperienced managers and give them less than two weeks a training before putting them in charge. If you are a team member you watch the videos and then they throw you in the position you get no training no job shadowing. Nepotism also runs high in the corporation on all levels.
