Great company, ancient vision for technology
System Administrator (Former Employee) –  Parsippany, NJ2 April 2018
Ferring is a company that "puts people first," per their oft referenced philosophy statement. As a company, they do treat their employees as well as they can. Benefits are nice, work hours are balanced, and the culture is very friendly.

However, as an employee working for their technology department, management is based out of Copenhagen, Denmark. The IT management team has an absurd way of not only relying on consultants for the bulk of the work, but also for direction of the department as well. Ideas and experience outside of the Copenhagen office are hopelessly ignored, and even looked down upon. Change, at its core, is feared - unless, of course, suggested by a consultant. This type of ideology has a direct effect on the business and budget.

In short, IT is hurting the business.

The work environment for IT employees outside of Copenhagen is a political game of trying to do your job with extremely limited resources while ensuring management stays happy by not suggesting any improvements to process.
Pros
On site bistro/restaurant, good benefits, beautiful campus, nice culture
Cons
IT management needs complete overhaul, department centralized in one location, extreme reliance on outside consultants, change is feared, management is inexperienced, politics is the name of the game in IT

Ferring Research Institidue San Diego
Contractor (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CA21 March 2018
Do yourself a favor and never take a contract job here.

You're second class employee and you're just a tool for the management to exploit for their advancement.

You will have no life. No vacation, no recognition no medical or any benefit what so ever.

You might get paid a little bit more but that a death trap.

Ferring is a great company however San Diego office is not so much.
Especially if you were a contractor.
Pros
Excellent place to learn and meet good people
Cons
Bad and selfish management, Management have the rights to believe and treat contractor as a second class employee

Each day was fast paced, many different projects going on simutaneously. Good balance between and family. Typical routine where process and getting things done competed with each other

IT Support Analyst (Former Employee) –  Parsippany, NJ7 March 2018
For IT, it was a nice place to work, good benefits, good work life balance. It was a private company so supposedly not based on meeting quarterly results, but new CFO decided to streamline.

Systems Analyst (Former Employee) –  Parsippany, NJ7 February 2018
Organizational changes are directly contradicting what the company is looking to achieve. This creates some gaps between resources needed and those allocated. Great people to work with and comp and benefits are competitive

Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture
Finance & Controlling Director, LATAM Region (Former Employee) –  Miami, FL12 January 2018
Working in Ferring for LATAM was an enriching experience, covering a broad range of responsibilities, what I really enjoyed.
The entrepreneurial culture empowered us to always look for new business opportunities; however, I would recommend a more formal decision making approach.

Small Sponsor Company
Clinical Research Associate (Current Employee) –  Parsippany, NJ30 December 2017
Working at Ferring was an experience I won't forget. When hired, I was under the impression I'd have a lighter workload compared to companies I worked for in the past, that was not the case. While the workload was extensive, it allowed me to make relationships with people I probably would not have. Like in anything in life, you get out what you put in. I was satisfied with my time there overall.
