Friendly staff and the work is quite simple. All the supervisors are super nice. The place is kept clean and everyone knows what they are doing and they make sure that you understand the work properly

Forced overtime on majority of its employees, especially in production. Expects everyone to work 6 to 7 days a week, and wants every employee to devote all their time to the company, instead of their family. They start everyone on contract, and tell them that within a year or two they will get full time; but in reality, it is all internal company politics, and they give full time to those they like, instead of those who deserve it. Some people have been contract for over 3 years, and then others get full time within 6 months. For a company that places alot of emphasis on pest control, they have a lot of rats and weasels. Everyone there will rat you out for something, and alot of 2 faced weasels, who will gladly stab you in the back if they think it will advance their career. Rotating shifts, with barely anytime to adjust from nights, to afternoons, to days. You get 20 minutes for a break, but don't take 21 minutes, because you will get written up by the team leaders and supervisors. Very clickey place to work, with alot of double standard. Different rules apply to different people. Overall, if you're stuck for work, it pays better then most factory jobs, but be prepared to deal with alot of BS and internal politics.
Pros
Pays better then most
Cons
Internal politics, slave labour hours, rotating shifts, forced OT

They hired me as a machine operator but ended up doing cleaning job heavy waste lifting all the time, and once in a while doing machine operators. The weight lifting was over my capabilities (more than 80kg) and it was on a daily bases. In general a very stressful cleaning job on a daily bases. You don't know what to expect the next day. When a worker does a good job he/she become a model and carry more daily donkey work, but being smarter than your supervisor you become a negative person and they fight you until you surrender and leave the job and no one care.
Pros
Free candy
Cons
Very stressful cleaning job, gangs, bad management

Ferrero has a very impressive facility. shifts are 8 hour rotating though Nights, Afternoons and Days. Overtime is almost always Mandatory.
If you are 30 min or more late for a shift or leave from a shift early it will count against you as a full day absent. After 3 absents, consecutive or not, documentation will be demanded and verbal warning will be given after only 4 absents.

You will be moved around departments and shifts as Ferrero sees fit.

Very middle management heavy!
Pros
You can buy Rocher in bulk.
Cons
7 day work week is a norm.

Favoritism runs rampant through this company. If you kiss up to the teamleads you get ahead. No real training on the job and you don't even get log in credentials for their computer system. Fast paced but some of the full time employees dump extra work on the contract workes to have a slower night. The shifts are all treated differently with no set standards. They are crazy stupid on the cell phone policy on some people amd others not so much. The equipment is dated and not maintained. Thw fact that they bus yes they actually bus in workes says alot. You are on contract for ever so they don't have to pay out benefits which is a joke. Place desperately needs a Union to step up and help out these workers.
Pros
Good pay, free candy
Cons
Managment, Teamleads, some of the workers, no work life balance.

Excellent place to work, unfortunately it starts off as 6 month contract with no guarantee to hire after 2 rounds of contract. I worked in the warehouse which is very fast paced environment.

This company is great to work for if you are in a high enough management position and are a hard worker. If you are not in management then it is a frustrating environment as many opportunities are limited or not offered.
Pros
Strong Culture, work events
Cons
No advancement, No succession planning

Great place to work, just that they need to change the every week rotation shifts. It seem to be every one's problem because they are always tired and have less energy for work.

In my years of experience, I have never disliked a job more.

Cons:

First, you can only give opinions to your direct manager. If that person doesn't like it, you do not have the opportunity to get your ideas out there.

They do not encourage any innovation, or thinking outside the box. The strategy is determined globally, and they only like to do things as they have been done before.

Marketing is an ever-changing field, and they will only commit to providing one training per year, per employee, which you have to find yourself with a very limited budget. They are not interested in employee development. (although they say they are)

The culture is SO OLD SCHOOL, and the amount of times that employees were patronized to was staggering.

There is barely any communication and best practice sharing in different departments

Pros:

Chocolate

Sales conference is in different places so this is fun

Christmas party is very nice

It seemed to me that everyone in the Toronto head office disliked their job and waited until the clock struck 12.

Say bye bye to your social life and/or family life. Management is absolutely atrocious. Though hourly pay is terrific. Likely due to huge turn over rate
