Over all, it is a good company. Unfortunately, they have some arrogant leaders which makes company unattractive. If you can ignore those people, you might be happy in the company.
Flexible work environment, Work from home oppourtunity.
Bad managers, aggresive and nervous people.
Starting salary is 34-36k.2.5% increase annually.Extremely over worked, they also expect you to work from home. They provide laptop and resources.Bad management, they are looking for some one to blame for. No positive feed back. No encouragement at all. Excellent for entry position but not for long term.Do your self a favor, dont work here not worth the time and the value you are putting. No appreciation from any one. You are just a number to make number. If they want to survive they better invest in human management training. Safe your self and your family, it will drain you and add stress to your future.

I've worked as a IT consultant for almost 1 year and 3 months. My pay was 50$ plus but I was getting only 35$ per hour because rest of the money was goes to management people as a commission to sustain in job. Even I got raised on contract renewal however I was getting only 35$/Hr and whatever raised amount also management took. If you are experience and talented IT professional, then this is not a right company to work for you. But if you don't have experience in IT but wants to work in IT, then this company is good but have to pay commission to management people otherwise you will be kick off from the job w/o any reason. Stay away!
The job itself is very stressful. Employees have an unrealistic amount of work to do and are burnt out essentially every month end. Compensation is quite low and not very competitive. Benefits are pretty good and co-workers are what make the days tolerable.

Do these reviews help you learn more about working at FCT?
Don't have anything good to say about this company. Don't understand current trends. Not a matured organization and unwilling to improve. They are neither here or there...IT is confused.
Stress and toxic, no advancement, silo and protective, no team work
Excellent location, great working environment and involved management. Trained its employees well, treated with respect and allowed room for growth. One of the top in it's business.
Subsidized lunches, great office, Gym in the basement
Impacted by real estate price fluctuations
If you're educated and over 25 you can do better. No day is typical, it mostly consists of you taking over someone else's job because they've called in sick. Inadequate training, never stay in one role. Pay is NOT competitive. Good if all you're looking for is something above minimum wage.
Working at FCT feels like a dream at the beginning; great co-workers, impromptu lunches and the benefits are amazing. However, once the real estate market takes a turn everything goes downhill. They stop providing overtime so you can't meet quota without working through your breaks, management becomes irate and are lecturing employees for minor infractions. The "We Care" attitude is correct but only towards revenues, they have no issues with firing qualified employees over less productive individuals so long as they remain in the black. Taking time off work is seen as negative. Making up hours after having doctor's appointments is seen just as negatively as not showing up. Bottom line is if you want to work for a company who smiles at you while shoving a knife through your back this is the place for you!
Before hiring freeze free lunches and ovetime
Incompetent managers and lack of respect
I started a new job here and within months of starting there was a downsize and was let go with no reason/explanation. Worse management/communication I’ve ever experienced. Left a good job to make the move to FCT. Don’t bother taking a job here you could be out of a job with no warning. Poor communication from HR and management. Worked for many large companies and never experienced the unprofessionalism I encountered at FCT.
Many of the jobs have been outsourced to India. The salary isn't keeping up with the cost of living. There isn't a feeling of job security when so many positions have been sent overseas. Many of the people are very catty in the way they treat others. A lot of pressure and overtime during the high season but the pay doesn't reflect the effort you put in. Many of the people have gotten second jobs to keep up with the cost of living. The benefits are pretty good and the RRSP is nice if you can pay into it. Some people can work from home with could save on commuting and parking costs. Random late shifts are annoying because you can't plan anything. Many of the jobs say Law Clerk required, but so many hires have no background.
