Enjoyed my time there and my coworkers. Good place to start my career. Advancement from the role was limited and role at times did not feel needed. Pay was also not superb. Would recommend workplace for culture though.

Great company

Interesting work. Lots of exposure. Opportunity to learn and grow is great for younger professionals. Salary is on the lower end compared to Market value. Turn over rate is high for young professionals.

All the good things of a big company (salary, advancement opportunities, benefits etc), but also all the bad. Worst things were the bureaucracy and the constant change in corporate/team strategy.

good and bad

The company was intense with younger people and they couldn't figure out there pay system for students. Some colleagues lacked respect and some unprofessional behavior was evident.However there were also some amazing colleagues that were students and the manager who hired me was amazing. Most of team i didn't get a chance to work with but they were great overall,

long hours for students if you are good at the job, some rough people, beurcratic

Amazing culture!

EDC is a great place to work. The culture is friendly and respectful. Work-life balance is valued. Sometimes politics is high amongst different groups. HR department makes lots of mistakes, but don't seem to take accountability for thier mistakes.

Restrictions of the Government without the benefirst

While EDC is financially self sufficeient it is still required to adhere to the restrictions of the government. There is still a lot of red tape and management is slow to change. Further, due to the budget cuts, a lot of benefits and programs that made EDC a great place to work were cut.

Hallmark thought me more about cleaning services. I learn more about time management. The team member make the job look so fun and enjoyable. They supplied us with modern equipment to work which make the work easy to do.

Never a dull moment

A heavy and fast-paced workload with a lot of overtime for which one is not compensated. Some interesting training offered. There is a lot of nepotism at EDC, this practice should have been banned 30 years ago.

Interesting and challenging projects

Great managers and projects available at EDC. Worked as a QA tester in the first year and then moved to a Lead Functional SME for the Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.2.
