Was a good place to work they supplied me with a room at the hotel until staff accommodation became available. Chef was extremely lazy and sometimes forcefull at times for no necessary reasons. But other than that staff was extremely helpful and great to work with.
It's somehow ok company to start your career but fairly quickly you will figure out that management doesn't care about you and that you're just a number for them. Core of the company are immigrants who are working tough jobs in the kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance department. They do not pay enough for a living standards in yellowknife. No room for advancement as people who are on higher positions will keep their jobs no matter what even if they will have to push you under train
Free lunch, but it's made from leftovers so I get food poisoning few times
Too many to count, management
I was a breakfast cook and worked 6am till 2pm. I learned quite abit about a great deal of many things.. Management was questionable and probably the laziest people that I have ever met .. Co-workers is what made the job fun
