At EV Logistics I received extensive training before the job started, and have been helped the entire time by the management staff. The job is very physically demanding but is really simple once you’ve got the hang of it as well.I would recommend working here if your looking for a rewarding pay for your work. There is also opportunity for growth into a career.

Pros

Supportive management, rewarding work, good pay

Physical work by youself

It is stress free work. Just put boxes onto your pallet. If you like physical work and working by yourself, this is the job for you. Stacking the pallet is like a game of tetris

Pros

Stress free

Cons

Tiring

Do not work here. They will treat u like s***

Ev is always hiring. Why? May be because they dont treat their employees right. They look for slaves not employees. So you are suppose to do everything they say and not have your own opinion. If you are looking to build your career please dont waste your time here. And if you have no life outside of work. This is the company for you then.

Pros

If you just looking for temporary job. Go for it.

Cons

Lots of negativity

Highly competitive - easy to get in, but super hard to stay in.

There was a specific rate you were supposed to be able to pick at, and it was really high. To make it worse, however, we had to stack our products above our head height and keep it together on this motorized pallet jack without the products toppling or breaking as we stacked the boxes and drove at speed. Very, very stressful. As someone who is not super quick at wrapping and stacking, I sometimes had boxes fall off and then would spend half an hour trying to clean up the mess of cat litter or whatnot. And then they would talk to me about why my picking rate was below the 90 that was expected.\ The discussions among people there were virtually unanimous - getting in was easy, staying in was nearly impossible. Ev Logistics LOVES to hire people and then fire them just as their probation ends.

Pros

The days you work seemed somewhat flexible.

Cons

Very stressful work for $13/h. Certainly do not recommend.

Not worth your time unless your desperate for a job

typical day: find a machine that hopeful works, sign in, stretch and get started. What you learn: to drive a pallet jack, Block patterns and to pick accordingly Management: Claims to be for the people but, honestly could careless Cares more about the company then the individuals who work there. Workplace culture: morale is low, people rush to get things done, almost a toxic environment. The hardest part of the job: Repetitive lifting must be physically fit and able to take care of your self to last in these sorts of jobs. Most enjoyable parts of the job: Did include staff lunches occasionally and a few friends if you were able to find them

Stressful and unorganized

Although the job paid decent, the work environment was generally dirty. The management was never on top of what was happening with their workplace and they were not particularly nice to people with injuries. Lots would get injured on the job due to the work, including myself, and when that would happen, there would be a different approach to the employee after. Quite the experience.

Don't support their employees - no loyalty

This company doesn't support their employees no matter how long you have worked for them. All they care about is their bottom line. Their pay is low, for how hard you have to work, and there is always a revolving door of people.

place to work

It is a decent place to work depending on your needs. starting off they give you ample amount of time to train so you can meet the demands of the job. not the best schedule to start but over time it gets a little better. physically demanding but anyone can do it if you work at it, they give you very reasonable training period

Pros

good exercise (need to use proper lifting techniques)

Cons

schedule

Good working environment. Attractive compensation

Job duties involved intensive picking boxes all day while driving a pallet jack. Time-bound picking involved a huge amount of effort. Overtime was available.

Pros

Good salary

Cons

heavy duty work

Good job for students but not a great career option

This is a good job for students with a decent starting wage and flexible hours. Part timers are only required to work 16 hours per week, one day of which must be either Saturday or Sunday. Full timers get more money but generally have much less flexibility in scheduling. The work is very physical (building pallets of product using a headset) and gets quite boring after you've been there a while. It is also quite lonely as all orders are timed through the headset and therefore unless you are extremely fast at the job, you don't have a lot of free time to spare while still hitting performance targets. You can eventually move on to other tasks such as reach truck operator or loader once you've been there for a while. There are hourly wage bonuses applied for hitting certain performance targets on a per paycheck basis. Management is generally fairly nice but is under pressure to have employees on their team hit performance targets and that can show in their interactions with employees. Wages increase based on total hours worked rather than any sort of merit system, and cap out after a certain number of hours. There is also nearly always overtime available for those who wish to work extra hours. It is also a unionized job so there is some protection there against any sort of abuses from the company itself, though there is always a bit of a tug-of-war going on between the union and the company, over what is acceptable and what is not. Overall it is not a very fulfilling job for anyone with any real ambition, but is a workable option if you really need a -

Pros

Lots of overtime if you want it, stable source of income

Cons

extremely physical work, tough to achieve performance targets, lonely work, extremely repetitive work

Sucks

A good place to work at first but their only concern is you reaching the 100 percent mark and I thought that the orders didn’t really give you enough time to finish it. Way too many people there it’s hard getting to where you need to be. Management don’t know how to manage at all, I got treated badly for years there what a waste of my time there.

Pros

They gave us bbqs

Cons

Management sucks
