I have learned how to deal with many situations in an older hotel with a great variety of people coming to stay with us. We have people from every walk of life, cater to all kinds of functions, especially popular are the weddings in our gardens. Having an older hotel that is currently going through renovations can create some tensions for guests and learning how to listen to them and work with them to solve their issues is a key skills required on a daily basis. Yet the people we meet and get to interact with are still the best part of the job, really enjoy the new faces and the familiar faces equally and love how staff are like one big family.
Family-like atmosphere amongst staff and returning guests
Older hotel, renovations not fast enough for some guests
