Yearly layoff sucks

Yearly layoff sucks, some managers are toxic and please beware of. Most colleagues are friendly. Nice technologies and some jobs are interesting, but the pay and prospect of the company is mediocre.

Great place to work as a coop

I had a great time at Ericsson working as a Co-op student. They have a great culture where everyone buys in. Management was amazing and the lead devs were always available to help!

Poor management and stressful work load

- No on boarding training for junior hardware developer (PA, digital, TRX, etc). No sure if it is common for software engineer. Most of senior engineers are nice and professional, but they are too busy to help the juniors.- Everyone especially senior developers in hardware team is overloaded. For example, the project deadline cannot be postponed even the shipment of DUT got delayed for a couple of weeks. You get to finish the work before the deadline. Those mangers don't care about your work life balance. - No trust between manager and hardware developers. You can feel the tension between technical team leader and project managers. - Low salary compared to the workload. - Too many useless and stupid 'so-called' knowledge share sessions or meetings. Just a waste of time. Maybe those high-level managers think the developers have enough spare time everyday like themselves.

Terrible management and career development

The workplace culture is based on favoritism. The management is usually talking behind everybody's back and not professional at all. If you are not an Engineer there is no career advancement, on occasion you will get a manager who will allow you to go on training. I found the female managers the worst to work with. They feel they have something to prove and talk inappropriately about their male colleagues. If you can tolerate all that, the pay is pretty good.

Productive and fun place to work.

Worked at Ericsson Canada as an RF engineering intern. Management and team were very smart, excellent communicators, and gave fun, meaningful work to interns.

Simple job

I worked here as a student doing testing, mostly setting up the physical environment and running the tests. I felt like my direct supervisor was coasting at his job and I didn't get any opportunity to delve deeper into the product or develop hard skills.

I got paid

Productive and fun, challenging work place

Great work environment , pension benefits, good salary, communication skills are a con, needs improvement . Need to assess bullying within the company, managers should be experienced in there field when forming a group.

Good salary, challenging

Communication, not much advancement

Environnement technique

afternoon treats are good.

years ago, mix of old friendly nortel crowd + many sharp new hires. as a contractor, ur somewhat on ur own. tightly controlled abstract wiki locked out anyone trying to update it. useful information was hard to come by and seemed tightly guarded. constantly evolving IT env. was annoying. several of us signed a 6 month extension, then were almost immediately cut a week later. frazzled leadership perhaps. the weekly afternoon treat event was good.
