Senior Software Developer (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON2 March 2018
No bonus.
No recognition, people here get recognized by getting overloaded instead.
No fairness.
Project Management and System Management Team are dominated by people from a specific country. And they keep recruiting unqualified resources secretly from that country, our products are having lower quality and long delivery time because of that.

ICT Operations Manager (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC9 January 2018
Good place to start a career, flexible hours and depending of the job a god work/life balance and traveling opportunities.
Company used to pay above the average market salaries but not any more, not it's average or even lower.
Benefits used to be good now are basic.
Good if you like technology and plan to stay in your position for long long time since there is no really opportunities to go up.
Pros
flex hours
Cons
Short sight of management

Base Station and cell site Design Engineer (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB30 December 2017
Ericsson is a large global company but is regional in nature with 9 or 10 global regions.
Some company wide duplication is created in regions but may vary completely region to region. Company divisions may work in isolation .

Extenssive outsourcing and globalization. Much over staffing. Project management focused.
Pros
Large corporate opportunities
Cons
Many project managers

Nice place with lack of leadership
Software Engineer/Developer/ ScrumMaster (Current Employee) –  Montréal, QC18 December 2017
You will find lots of nice people here, just don't expect management to show leadership. When things go south, most managers will just disappear expecting problems to be sorted out on their own.

Meritocracy needs lots of improvement, it's an aging company which has that 'family' vibe where most people know each other for a long time, unfortunately those friendships impact performance evaluations and promotions.

There is really nice people here, but professionally speaking, it's all about networking.
Pros
Good variety of free coffee, indoor parking, daycare onsite
Cons
One is almost required to have a car to go to work
