Not a very good organization to work for
Project Manager (Former Employee) –  calgary15 January 2015
Job security is zero. Management is very haphazard. It's a place to work while you get a better job. Company has no organization structure. Decision making is made at whims of one or two men.

Engineer (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB26 December 2014
They keep on posting jobs and fake positions just to give indication that they have projects and they are working.

not a top employer
anonymous (Former Employee) –  calgary, ab2 May 2013
Equinox management does not provide growth opportunities, even though they promise you that in the interview process.
Management has the tendency to 'carrot dangle' without the promised end result.

The HR Management does not support its employees. Does not make strong efforts to listen or change the issues that are ongoing. The HR management is unorganized, and unethical; sharing confidential information with employees who are outside of the HR capacity.
The overall compensation is not competitive enough with the industry, as it should be.
Spending more money on monthly parties and alcohol rather than employee recognition or improving employee morale.
Overall, by far, not a top employer.

Amazing people and atmosphere made work very enjoyable
Process Engineer, EIT (Current Employee) –  Calgary, AB19 March 2013
Learned several skills in engineering with working with a large number of people on one project. Work began with individual efforts and became a full team working together to achieve the best product, with safe designs and solutions while still maintaining cost effectiveness with decision making to maintain budgets. Reward of a job well done was the most enjoyable part of the job which came from increased responsibility and complexities of tasks assigned.
Pros
rewarding work with great people
