Read my review for my complete honest experience at Enterprise
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Scarborough, ON – 24 March 2018
Driving 2018 cars is fun, renting cars to customers and having conversations is amazing. But having to be middle managed all the time sucks. Having the branch manager tell you do this task, do that task gets annoying quickly in the environment. If you can allow yourself to be pushed around literally, even the MT's can be switched to a different branch location with 1 week notice. This job is NOT guaranteed at all. I actually went on Indeed to read the reviews before I applied but no one posted this experience. Who ever is going to read this please take my advise. Don't work here pay is $14.50 after the wage increase. If you are ok to have a fake personality to be "professional" and keep trying to be on the mangers good side so he doesn't let you go, then apply. ps. they expect you to work from 7:30-6pm or till 2pm daily.
number one reason of such a high turnover company is the total lack of work/life balance. they promote it but the fact of the matter is that if you want to be someone who continues to climb the corporate ladder and chase the money, you will most definitely be sacrificing your social and family life. under the right manager, the culture is fantastic, but you will have to be prepared to be very competitive and deal with all of the politics that come along with that. you must be motivated by money to enjoy this career.
Management Trainee Intern (Former Employee) – Port Coquitlam, BC – 18 March 2018
Enterprise is for people who don't mind working hard to get what they want in life. Not a job for people who're lazy. There's literally never a time when you're bored at work. However, eventually you do come to a point where you get worn out.
Corporate Branch Manager (Former Employee) – Toronto – 8 March 2018
Outstanding place to begin your career and build sales and management skills. Tried and true models that lead to success. Not much room for your creative input, but overall a great framework for producing sales managers.
SERVICE AGENT (Current Employee) – Waterloo, ON – 6 March 2018
Amazing place to work with great people all around, feels like a family. Long hours, but you get used to it. Its also a privilege to drive all the new cars around, I defiantly know what I like and don't in a vehicle.
free lunches, coffee, hour long breaks, flexible hours
Management Assistant / TD Rental Management Rep (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 4 March 2018
It's a good company to work for, there are options to advance if you talk to the right people. It's all about who you keep talking to and bugging to get ahead. But if you aren't one of those people who like talk and talk and showcase your personality, you wont get far. And you don't have a work life balance. You are expected to come at 6:30 am or 7 am till about 6:30 pm at a regular branch. Once a week you get off at 2 pm. and you have to work every other saturday. They also expect to dress extremely professionally, while expecting you to clean cars in nice shoes/clothes that you probably have spent pretty on to look good in. They will get ruined within a couple months and they do not give you money for your wardrobe to put up with the expectations.
Inventory Management/Return Agent (Current Employee) – Calgary, AB – 28 February 2018
This is a fast paced job, management was very good to work with and mostly takes action on concerns that come up. Enterprise has a great culture and promotes from within, if you're willing to put in the time and effort, Enterprise will reward you. during summer hours this job is very very busy and you really need to be dedicated to the customer service experience to pull thru during the peek hours. Working with most of the co-workers and management was both educational and at times a lot of fun. :) i would work here again.
Branch Manager (Former Employee) – Redding ca – 30 January 2018
Great company, great people. Always room to advance, very hands on. If you are willing to relocate the room for advancement is endless. Salary and benifits are great. Working their you feel like part of a big family
Return Agent (Current Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 24 January 2018
Amazing place to work at, I worked at one of the busiest locations in Toronto, Ontario. Enterprise at Pearson International Airport has about 3000 to 5000 cars on their fleet. We as return agents, return up to 800 cars a day. The perks at working at Enterprise is full time benefits such as medical, paid sick days and vacations. Great experience with meeting corporate customers, regular customers and foreigners.
Management Trainee Program (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 16 January 2018
this was a very challenging job which i enjoyed thoroughly it ;let me grow as a leader and stay competitive with the other crew on many kpi. boils down to being a fall guy having no support and babysittiering adults
terrible place to work. left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
Car Washer (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 14 January 2018
A typical day at Enterprise consists of taking the blame for the managements mistakes. Management at my old location couldn't even manage to arrive for their shift on time, let alone manage the customers time. lets leave the bay doors open and walk away at -25. lets blame the guy in the back type of workplace culture. lies, deceit and poor management. never seen a gong show like this with professionals. I strongly recommend not applying unless you like to be treated like garbage for 14.60 hr .
discounts on car rentals if they have a rental available which they rarely do
poor management, unprofessional staff, take the blame for the team culture
Management Trainee (Former Employee) – Red Deer, AB – 3 January 2018
Working in enterprise is lots of fun during the summer but during the winter it could be a drag depending on your staff. The company is a well established company with good regional managers who take care of their staff. The days are really long its 730 am to 6 pm so the only real time off are your days off.
