Hard work and long hours
Driver/loader for curb side recycling is a thankless job. Very fast paced with the days stretching well beyond your ten hour shift. You will be on your feet all day in and out of the truck about one thousand times. Constant bending and lifting of recycle bins. Not a job for everyone. Swamper in Chilliwack, BC

Long hours
Awful place to work at, you’re treated poorly as a swamper and on top of that there’s a lot of drama and miserable people who work there, favouritism is strong over there, and it doesn’t matter how good you do, they’ll expect you to be like that every day for awful pay and complain about every little thing, do not work at emterra Utility Worker in BC

Red Flags
Disappointing experience. The Company statement of values reads much like that of an inspiring team oriented and supportive organization, but within 2 days of being onsite red flags flying at you…danger ahead both mentally, physically and emotionally! Leadership was more along the lines of shaming and bullying. Expectation to push yourself beyond your limits is daily by management. When verbally and physically threatened by the public management was no where to be seen for support or protection. Forced to walk away with cracked teeth, PTSD and no help from the company…(due to their negligence and unsafe work practices). This company really does have potential…but management needs new leadership training…Administrative Assistant in Chilliwack, BC

Great Management, Good Group efforts
The work environment in my office is amazing, the other staff and managers are great to work with. No one feels excluded and communication is great. The customers can be a little challenging but over all a great working environment. A typical day is answering the residents questions in regards to their garbage collection, data entry and looking after all forms of paperwork for incoming and outgoing loads. Not a fun productive place
You are lied to believe that it is 6 to 10 hour shifts. Not at all you will work 13 to 14 hours a day. You will have no life with family very physically demanding What would you say about your employer?
