BAKER (Former Employee) – Windsor VIC – 12 December 2017
At Empire Bakery I was employed as a baker and was happy with the role of work i was undertaking in the bakery. I was a team player in the production area and also a machine operator and instructor for unskilled bakery staff. I was very happy with the afternoon shift gave me more time at home. Overall it was a good place to work the only thing i could pick on would be the communication problems with the staff from overseas.

Basically there is no experienced baker there who knows the science of bread. the supervisor has no idea what yeast does and how it works. supervisor there is like a robot there who is been there for 10 years and his job is to push people and has 0 knowledge how to train people and make bread. his english is extremely poor and you will not understand 90% of words he speaks. bread quality is horrible. they pick the dough from floor sometimes and send it. worst bakery I've ever worked for.and some people get paid less salery and some people get more. and that is not based on merit.
unprofessional staff, non qualified supervisors, quality of baking, training and much more.
