Good place to start manufacturing career
Production Associate (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 31 May 2023
Decent pay. Flexible for part timers. Good place to start manufacturing career. Opportunity is less and a little bit of politics is there. Work hard, communicate freely with everyone. You might get promoted or just go to a different company for higher pay and better role.
Pros
Decent pay and flexible scheduling for Part timers
Cons
Less opportunity to grow within the company

Easy work, short work week.
Weld cell operator (Former Employee) - Bishop plant - 22 June 2022
4 days at 10 hours. Every weekend is a long weekend!!! All the OT you want. Repetitive, easy work. Supervisor only bugs you if you don't make rate. No problems making way more then rate so I got a raise after 3 months. The manager actually helped clear faults on my cell and fixed a tooling issue. Never seen that before. Friendly coworkers They are big on attendance. Seen a lot of people who only show up for 2 or 3 days a week. Those people don’t last long. You won’t get out of Mom’s basement if you can’t show up to work. I only left because I went back to school.

Revolving door company
GMAW Weld Tech. (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 9 March 2022
The job isn't hard in itself once you get used to it. The company is constantly hiring because people never stay long. I was only there for 9 months, in that time I must have seen at least 30 people get hired on and either quit or were terminated. That in itself proved to me that it wasn't the company I wished to be employed at.
Pros
4 day work week.
Cons
Shoddy machine maintenance

It's a very fast past place and if you dont keep up they send you home anyways. Managment is the worst at this place avoid this place ty

Tool and Die Maker (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 14 September 2021
The somewhat younger core of this company has a lot of knowledge and good direction surrounding die making and die repair with all the capabilities that set them above other shops /stamping plants, far more then much bigger automakers that are their competitors.
Pros
Knowledgeable
Cons
Pay/

Weld cell operator (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 19 September 2020
As you start at this job you love it, as time goes on and like 4 months later maybe sooner you see the truest colors of management, there judgemental, rude, classless, and they dont care about you just your numbers. They will constantly and consistently compare you to your coworkers. There positivity, sensitivity and Tact are suverely lacking.
Pros
Wages were good
Cons
Wages increased if your liked as a person, No one cares if your being treated properly, there key goal is to be little you as much as possible in an attempt to motivaye you!, They will compare and belittle other employees right to you

Company needs serious improvement
Operator/Labourer (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 5 August 2020
To begin, poor training. You get told to read a whole bunch and then supervisor shows you how to do it once and walks away, good luck finding him again.
Next, they value production over health and safety. Had reported to Operations Manager that multiple fire exits and extinguishers were blocked but had state he had other things to worry about.
They cannot seem to keep people working there because there is next to no incentives. The benefits are awful. The only thing really going for them is weekly pay, even though you are also underpaid and not paid for what you are worth.
This company needs to be seriously re-evaluated under all metrics and areas.
Pros
Weekly pay
Cons
Just about everything
