Great product! Great culture!
General Manager (Former Employee) –  Vancouver, BC7 June 2018
Lots of great opportunity to be an entrepreneur. It’s easy to take pride in the job when you work for an organization that takes pride in the product they produce. I also appreciate how much they invest in their employees given that this is a family run business.
Pros
Great product

Not every customer is easy to satisfy

favouritism/nepotism very strong in Ecco. They don’t appreciate or promote talented people. They don’t believe in equal rights. ROM act like a dictators.

Amazing
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON5 October 2017
Working at Ecco is great at times when you are up in sales and you reach your quota, however it can get a little challenging at times when you have difficult customers or you didn't sell enough shoe care. You have to be on top on everything and know how to sell if you want to keep your job. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who loves meeting new people and who loves shoes.
Pros
discount on shoes
Cons
difficult to meet sales goals at times

Brand Ambassador (Former Employee) –  Burnaby, BC26 August 2016
As a commission-based store, working here was great in the beginning as everyone treats their competition fairly and as well as assists with each other rather than stealing customers. The only problem in this store is that when there is a problem to be resolved, the problem is left alone and is never dealt with. Overall, the work experience here was positive.

Family environment with a Collaborative Work Environment
Retail Marketing Specialist (Former Employee) –  Markham, ON22 August 2012
ECCO Shoes was a wonderful place to work, with a family environment.

A very small marketing team allowed me to gain experience and perfect my skills in many facets of marketing, even going outside my role and taking on projects and tasks of the Senior Marketing Manager to further my learning. With a lean team it was a must to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, both short and long term with precision and always be prepared for the unexpected projects that arise from working in a fast paced retail environment.

Senior management was always opened to experimentation and cross-functional teams often worked together to colloborate on projects and share expertise to perfect a project resulting in favourable and rewarding results.
Pros
ability to consistently learn
Cons
lack of opportunity for advancement within the marketing team
