Fun place to work highly competitive.
Financial Service Representative (Former Employee) - Newfoundland and Labrador - 29 April 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedFun place to work lots of group activities and incentives. The bonuses are great when achieved, but the bar is set a little unrealistically high to achieve those bonuses at times. Can be a very highly competitive environment. Decent schedule for home work life balance. Cold calling can be repetitive.
Pros
Incentives, Activities, Bonuses, Decent Pay
Cons
Highly competitive, cold calling, repetitive environment.

Bonne chance
Représentant en services financiers (Former Employee) - Quebec Province - 21 May 2022
Pros
Plusieurs repas gratuits, petit bonus mensuel
Cons
Fausses promesses, faible reconnaissance, mauvais dirigeants

High expectations
Financial Service Representative (Current Employee) - Niagara, ON - 3 April 2022
As an FSR, you're expected to carry the company while being paid the least. Sales targets are unrealistic and even if you hit target, bonuses aren't guaranteed

This company takes more money away from bonus as time goes on and puts more on your plate. The turn over for employees is incredibly high. Stay away
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Square One, ON - 27 February 2022
Stay away from this company if you’re looking for something solid long term. There’s no good to come of it. Only more work and less pay. The employees are great but management is often lost and upper management are dictators.
Pros
Friendly teams
Cons
Low bonus, feedback ignored, below average pay, wage increases are next to nothing, I was there for a year and a half and got no pay increase, I could go on and on

Great career & development opportunity!
Branch Manager (Current Employee) - Dartmouth, NS - 11 February 2022
I joined an organization as an FSR and was promoted to the branch manager. The company offers you a great opportunity to develop yourself as a leader & improve your sales skills. If you are looking to join a team that is highly motivated by performance this would be a great fit for you.
Pros
*Great opportunity of growth, *Hourly wages +bonuses + incentives, *Very competitive pay for FSR position in Nova Scotia, *Highly motivated team and management
Cons
The company doesn’t sponsor for PR/closed work permit, I would except higher starting salary for the branch manager, This job is not for you if you don’t want yo improve your confidence and invest in your development

No work life balance
Financial Services Representative (Former Employee) - Brampton, ON - 19 January 2022
Unhealthy work environment. Very competitive and you basically fight with co workers daily. Manager don't care about you or your personal goals. If you are good at your job and have a lazy manager, you will never grow cos you will be doing the manager's job for less pay. Very stressful and no rest . You can work 2 weeks straight no day off. They never pay overtime. Always owing your hours
Pros
If you are at a big branch monthly bonus is great if you hit your target
Cons
Extremely high target.

No work life balance
Financial Service Representative (Former Employee) - Brampton, ON - 27 October 2021
I worked here for just over a year. There is no work life balance at this job, and according to me, no matter how much work you do it is never enough. The managers say we are all one team, but when the time comes for them to show that, they never stick to their words. This job is good for new graduates or new immigrants who have come to Canada to get experience.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, low pay, no appreciation

Enjoyable
Financial Service Representative (Current Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 17 June 2021
Really good company to work for overall. You might have a problem with an individual store manager who might not know how to manage, but overall the company is good
Pros
Bonuses, free lunches, birthday off
Cons
Might work longer hours at the end of the month to meet target, but it’s all good if you do meet target

Good Place to work if you have good management
Financial Service Representative (Former Employee) - Etobicoke, ON - 15 June 2020
This is a workplace that you need to constantly competing with one another. Everyone is chasing bonus, which is great but you need to struggle to get it. If you are able to hit the bonus, it feels great. But the money can only work for so long. Constantly over worked which starts to become the norm. You won't notice that you start staying later and later at work. Completely frowned on if you leave work at you set finish time. They rather you stay later to try and get another loan through the door. Most branches you eat at your desk while working because of the heavy work load or you do not eat.
Benefits are okay and they'll cover you after three months of working there. Covered on most things. Not easy to book appointments since your shifts are constantly changing week by week In most branches you cannot have a day off on certain days like Monday, Tuesday or Friday. Due to the amount of work you do on a daily it's not worth the pay. If bonus was more attainable than maybe.
You work directly with customers. So you'll find great people who will make you day or ones that make you want to walk off the job. You're encouraged to say whatever is needed in order to get that loan closed.
I stayed in the job for two years and that was because of my manager. If you have a good manager everything will become a lot easier and they will usually take on most of the stress. Sadly, the turnaround rate in the company is high so I lost that great manager. I had two managers who are on the poor side. Most managers leave the office at a way earlier shift which leaves most of the work -

Good place to work for Starters
Financial Service Representative (Former Employee) - Victoria, BC - 14 April 2020
The bonus pay is good but you have to work really hard to hit the unrealistic bonus target. Too much competition that does not support team work, Workload is very stressful. work hours are 10am to 7pm, I sometimes leave by 9pm with getting paid overtime.
Pros
Bonus pay is good money but that is if you are able to make the unrealistic target
Cons
No work life balance

Easy Financial
Loan underwritter (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 10 August 2019
Overall the job is good, go in and do your job and that’s it. The atmosphere is great as in employees, management needs improvement as they do not treat everyone the same. There are perks such as free lunches and coffee/donuts however you are always working and the room to grow is not available nor will you receive a raise as I worked there for over a year and never received one even while catching fraud and saving the company money.

Repititive, predatory customer finding practices. Keep the customers away from truth.
FSR/CSR (Current Employee) - London, ON - 1 July 2019
The title says it all. Job is repetitive. There is not a single day they can go without asking for more sales . Sales of giving out loans to people who cannot afford to pay it back . As this was less they want you to keep on loaning to them until they cant afford it anymore and they will break their backs .
Pros
Bonus.
Cons
Conscience.
