Enjoyable place to work with lots of friendly faces
Continuing Care Assistant (Current Employee) – Windsor, NS – 31 May 2013
During a typical 8 hour shift, one would go from either helping someone to get ready for the day: bathing, dressing, feeding, etc to assisting the person to get ready for bed: bathing, changing clothes and mobilizing into bed.
The biggest thing I can say that I have learned since starting to work here is PATIENCE. You have to have lots of it!
Management of the facility are very nice and are willing to listen to your concerns.
Co-workers are great as they help you learn needed skills for the job and everyone works together.
The hardest part of the job is seeing someone pass away from illness.
The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing all the people that you are used to seeing and the smiles on their faces and hearing the gratitude for what you have done for them.
great team environment
not enough time some times to get everything you want to get done done.
