Replace all management

This particular Doubletree would be so much greater if the management was replaced. From the General manager who is just HORRIBLE, down to replacing ALL management in seperate departments especially the kitchen. From the "Executive Chef" being just down right disgusting to the cooks and management under him, seeing staff get fired due to lies from your own management team was just disgusting. Reporting what you see, because that was the right thing to do, and being reprimanded for it. Please find employment elsewhere that will appreciate you and your time. Find a place where the core values set forth by a company are actually shown and implemented. J.W MARRIOTT SAID IT BEST, "TAKE CARE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES AND YOUR EMPLOYEES WILL TAKE CARE OF THE GUESTS!" THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE THE HILTON WAY BUT AT THIS PARTICULAR HILTON, STAFF ARE DEFINITELY NOT TAKEN CARE OF NOR APPRECIATED!

Toxic

Toxic work environment. Work politics negatively play a part in your job. Unprofessional front office staff and management. Long hours with no overtime pay.

Awfulness at this work place

Everyone is high on their horses.Settle down your one out of a billion hotels on earth ! You guys make life unpleasant for no reason. Over worked under paid. Management thinks their GODS GIFT to man lol what a joke!!! News flash your all nothing special hahahaha.

Wish I never set foot in the place.

They don't care about you or your family. Don't pay overtime, if you are management you have to stay and cover or come in on your days off. GM has no clue about people. Is a fake.

Lunch if you can get it. Always bad fish on Friday

Horrible management. No chance for advancement even though you are promised some.

Too many workers over worked, and yelled at because their performance suffers because of unrealistic expectations of management. Long and absurd hours of willing workers, whose efforts are not appreciated or quickly forgotten, with the only result being eventual mental breakdown, and time off work without pay.

Owners and hr worst ever Hilton is an excellent company.but the ownership company no good.no support .there way or the highway.HR worst ever .gossip ,unfairness no clue what an HR manager is about.

Terrible

Working here was an absolute nightmare. TERRIBLE management, NO breaks, and barely any training. They’re too cheap to put more than one person at the front desk, so good luck trying to eat or go to the bathroom throughout your 8 hour shift. Even with 50+ arrivals you work alone with no one to help you; even when the line starts coming out of the door. I very rarely got a break, even when calling the manager and requesting the break i’m supposed to get, he would say he’s coming to cover me and would never show up. Had to pay for parking which was $50 a month (part time) or $100 (full time) just so i can drive to work and there’s no other choice considering my co-worker got his car smashed when he parked it on the street. Steer clear of this place. The pay is nice but it is not worth it. The downtown location has so many homeless people. I was scared to be near the door when I had night shifts. Even when requesting to just do morning shifts I was always put on nights. Was so bad that even the maintenance workers/Housekeepers started complaining to the manager about letting a girl work alone at night in such a terrible area. TERRIBLE. horrid. never ever again.

Unsafe

Company didn't take potential dangerous and violent situations seriously. I loved the co workers and the job was easy but safety was a huge concern after being threatened with a knife. They basically told me that I was overreacting.

Decent Co-Workers, terrible Management

Hot and sweaty work environment if you worked in the laundry room. Co-workers were a delight, management on the other hand, not so much. When I needed to take leave for mental health issues I was denied time.

Do not work for them

This company set unrealistic targets for their security officers. Toxic management. Beware of the HR department especialy the head manager. The company practices emotional hiring/firing practices. No parking. The only pro is the salary. Between 20-21 an hour.

working at doubletree hotel

i have learned a lot with organizing and keeping up with speed keeping myself inline. the management is great very understanding and really good to get along with. we are to attend the morning meeting everyday then make sure we have what we need for our carts, and then get on the floors and have each room done within 30 mins. the hardest part of the job is keeping up with the time frame and having everything completed and cleaned in the rooms. i am a very social butterfly so i just love talking to people and helping people. i love being able to clean rooms getting more experience cleaning which never hurts to learn more of.

Honest. Open. And an over all family. They accomodate everything they can. It is a family environment so you feel comfortable. Strong management. Great owners.

Turn over rate is extremely high

- unreasonable work expectations are placed on employees, constantly being given other employees work to do after some one quits and no one is ever hired to replace them - expectation is to work a 10+ hour day but only paid for 8 - shamed for leaving on unpaid lunch breaks - office conditions are horrible, leaks from ceilings daily

Very awful place to work

Very hard work with minimal hours and pay. Management rush you all day long to finish your rooms. You have to get there a hour early before your shift is starting to stuck your buggie and they dont let you punch-in in the time clock. Angry manager all the time lots of yelling and mistreating. Very awful company.
