Very fast-paced and stressful during dinner rushes, be ready.

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Honestly the jobs there are very tedious and mediocre. If it's slow and not busy throughout the day it's very boring. But during dinner rushes good luck.

Pros

Employee discount for sure, a good manager.

Cons

Dinner rushes, and how many people like pizza.

Good job to make some easy money. Minimum wage plus tips

Taking out deliveries with all tips paid in cash nightly. During slow delivery times you are expected to do other jobs in the store such as serve customers and other store prep. A lot of turnover and young kids working there. With the labour market being what it is you will be stretched thin, but that does mean some pretty reliable work.

Pros

%50 discount on food. Cash tips paid out nightly. Easy work.

Cons

Management and workforce are often stretched thin, Shift end times will vary depending on manpower and how busy the store was that day.

Fun work place, fast paced environment, fulfilling

Great job for high school, college student looking to make money driving their car around. Would not suggest going into management though. Long hours, with very poor work life balance.

Pros

Staff discounts, good pay

Cons

Long hours, stressful

Bad management

Barley allowed breaks and if you are they enforce you to clock out for that time. Management was bad; short staffed and they did not care about about employees

Terrible pay, terrible consistency, Great management staff.

Working at Dominos as a Delivery Driver had me excited, I’ve wanted to try that kind of employment with a Pizza place for some time as I was told it was a great place to get your foot in the door. Yet aside from a really great staff and management/supervisor core of playful individuals all trying to make their way, the taste of honey quickly soured in my mouth. There is no overtime pay, zero chance of raises, depending on your shift you could be there up to 3 hours after you’re supposed to get off; the excessively late times they are open on weekends leaves little time for rest and sleep; they still operate on split shifts, which can sometimes means you get no breaks upwards of 10+ hours if it’s a busy day and not only are YOU the worker underpaid, management and supervisors are just as much in the dumps and they are expected to do near triple what you have to do! Truly a soul crushing work experience, if it wasn’t for an affectionately friendly and young management Corp this job would be unbearable. Truth be told I’ve already started looking for another simply because I long for consistency.

Pros

Free drinks sometimes if you prove yourself to management.

Cons

Inconsistent work hours, breaks and sometimes you can start at 5 PM and not get off till 5 AM.

Poor management

Not really worth it. If your looking for food delivery job there are other places that pay better and that are better organized. They post the schedule on Sundays for the week ahead, and then if you can’t work those days they make you find someone else to take the shift. Schedules should be 2 weeks at a time.

Pros

Good tips when busy

Cons

Very poor management, schedule posted the day before, no real support from management, poor training

Great fun. Decent wage.

Flexible start times if you are a few minutes late. If you live in a town with little traffic, then pay is great. You make more as a delivery driver if you work longer than 3 or 4 hours. No reward for closing the store but you do make more money. Tips are pretty good and average to $3 per delivery that's under 5 km round trip. Vehicle expenses are reasonable if you drive slow, turn slow, and go slow over bumps. If you drive like a dummy, expect to lose from $3000 to $5000 per year on vehicle depreciation. If you drive a 1990s car that you fix yourself and just do basic maintenance like spark plugs, sensors, suspension, then you can make $20/hr. If you drive a brand new car or can't choose a reliable vehicle, then you can lose $5000 per year on car expenses.

Pros

no pressure to drive fast and deliver within 30 min

Cons

not enough days off

Dont get paid enough

The people are cool but as a driver you get paid under 10 dollars because you get tips from customers. But the customers in the area don't usually tip well and you have to pay for your own gas and car repairs.

Pros

Good coworkers

Cons

Bad pay

Learning new skills

I found myself in a new environment but not so exciting for me cause management was not good enough for employees. Less wages but more working hours to serve.

Pros

No

Cons

Too many

Either 8 hour shift or 3 hour shift.

Working at domino's isn't anything too crazy. The salary is decent if you have full time hours, but then you have to deal with the schedule, you usually have to either work from 11-7 or from 4pm-2am. If you don't get those shifts then you usually work 4-8 or 5-8 or 6-9. There are no benefits a part from 50% off pizza. They changed the pay for afternoon drivers making it 4$ a trip and no hourly wage (Saskatchewan, I don't know if it's everywhere) which means you have to do at least 13 trips in 3 hours to make 50$ without tips, which will most likely never happen because you work with like 5 other drivers. Morning driver gets paid minimum wage but then gets told to clean and clean everything while the instore makes 14-15$ an hour and they sit around. If you don't have an electric vehicle expect to be getting gas every 2-3 days depending on how long you work, domino's also covers no damage or maintenance needed on your vehicle. Just don't bother with it if you live in Saskatoon.

Pros

50% off orders.

Cons

Short hours, garbage schedule, low pay, no rebates on car maintenance

Easy job terrible management

Hot and sweaty place run by terrible management. I consider myself to be pretty easygoing and a hard worker but the management of this place put me through the ringer in less than a month of working there. They don't look at employees like people merely a means to an end and it is reflected when trying to negotiate things like salary, days off, taking a break and even scheduling. If you want to work a bummy minimum wage job there are others that at least have the benefit of understanding management and support staff.

Cons

Management

Other team members are great

Owned by a family. A lot of employee favouritism. Expect to take on a lot of responsibility and only ever make minimum wage. You are not allowed to keep tips although there is an option for customers to tip online for carry out. The hours are flexible though.

Pros

Flexible hours

Cons

Stressful, employee favouritism

Stressful, poorly managed and underpaid

The team members are great. The management and owners? Not so much. If you're in management, expect to never have a day off because you're going to be getting a phone call and text constantly. If you ask for a raise in exchange for the harsh working environments (late night shifts, stressful rush due to lack of staff, impossible demands by the owner) you'll more than likely be denied. Their company policies are just as ridiculous, with the expectation that you can't even dye your hair.

Pros

Discounts on food, health benefits depending on ownership

Cons

No work life balance, high expectations for low pay, stressful working environment, terrible work hours

Trash

Everything about the job is garbage, they don’t care about you, don’t listen to your hours, and care about nothing but customers, you will receive calls in the middle of your day off getting asked to come to work, I have been working for two years there and got no raise and still make minimum wage, over work you so much and hours are so bad.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Literally everything

worst place to work

fellow employees were good people and i had fun working with them but the management absolutely sucked!!! would have only 2-4 people working on a friday or saturday rush, overworked constantly and managers would never work, never got a day off if you asked/booked it off, i was still getting paid minimum wage after 2 years of being there, and a bad bug problem including ants in the pepperoni

Pros

good people

Cons

long hours, bugs, minimum wage, used by management

Would not work for dominos again

After the first week all discounts droped to 10% on pizzazs only thier was a min amount the drivers had to bring into the store before they had thier tips removed but it has been removed. They lie on thier driver ads saying 17 per hr but only pay min wage and try to say that inclues tips. If you happen to try and fix a problem you will have your hrs cut to try and make you quit.they do this too not pay you 2 weeks severance pay. Most of the management do not know what food safe is or how to make a decent pizza. The owner rarly every come to the store to check and see if everything is good. But if an employee send them a message expect retaliations from the management.

Pros

None

Cons

Low pay, poor management, willingness to though enyone under the bus.

Bleh

It was fine for the first few months but after that it was awful. You are expected to put in so much work for a company that does not appreciate you as a worker nor pay a decent wage for the amount of work you do. If you are a driver you are most likely losing money every-time you work. No coworkers will cover your shift and if you need the day off it’s always a complicated process

Pros

The people who work there

Cons

Hard to get hours, losing money, horrible management

Not a livable salary plus it's your own car

I found working here to be a waste of my time and money. You end up spending more on gas. If you use the car topper you are not able to claim insurance if an accident were to occur on the job. Less people are tipping lately since everyone is paying prior to receiving their order due to covid. The wage is $9 and hour expecting tips and paid in cash to be enough... it really isn't. Overall I wouldn't work here as a driver, you won't make enough to make it worth while

Pros

Flexible hours

Cons

Low wage, own vehicle

You’re just a number

They don’t genuinely care about their employees, they put their customers first in any situation they would rather give them free pizza then make you feel comfortable. I’ve been yelled at and called horrible names and still they give them free food. Drivers are not supposed to do anything but deliver its part of their contract but they still make the drivers clean and do dishes and if they don’t they fire them for not listening. When I was first hired at Dominos they had different owners ones that cared for us and treated us like family, these new owners didn’t even introduce themselves and they cut all management benefits and fired all the old general managers and replaced them with new ones the managers they fired had been working at Domino’s for 5+ years one had even been there for 20 years and they still did not care about anything they had to offer to the company. I would not recommend working somewhere where you aren’t cared for or valued.

Pros

Flexible schedule

Cons

New owners
