Front Counter Attendant in New Zealand, PE

Good if you enjoy a busy workplace
I've worked at Domino's in New Zealand for only one week.It is a good job overall, If you are new it definitely is overwhelming, especially if you are not trained properly. It is not a suitable job for people who are easily stressed and anxious. Customers are the worst part of the job for sure, they always have something to complain about, and mistakes always happen. Weekends are crazy busy. Good wage and not bad.

Awful management
The management was bad, there was start times but no finishing times. No guaranteed hours and could send u home whenever they’d like. The drivers got paid way more. No tips unless very very small amounts. Bad hygiene

Constantly understaffed with low pay
Work was often understaffed, and my location was hesitant to give breaks when it was busy. Hardest part of the job was trying to balance tasks on Mondays (50% off days)

They ask if you know how to solve customer relation issues "what would you do if someone came in saying they got the wrong pizza but their order says they got the right pizza. What do you do?" Give them what they want and something extra ie. a free drink
