I just left my job at dollarama last week (Oct 26, 2918) because after working there 2 years I was expected to then start at 6 am. I have a sleep problem and this is impossible for me. I told the manager several times I couldn't do it any more. The last time she told me that if I couldn't start at 6am to find a new job. Others have time issues and she didnt have a problem to accommodate them. I am one of the few who actually do work there so I question their management abilities. Last day there no one including manager or district manager acknowledged my resignation. Wow!!!!! Fairview mall, st catharines.

Mgmt encouraged me to apply for the Asst. Manager position in our store which had only been filled about 9mths of the 3 years the store had been opened for. Training store so I had been training people for mgmt. positions and fully qualified for the job as I had been doing it for most of my time there. Applied for the job and was not only told by the person who got the job ( that I trained) but also discovered they had offered the position to her before I applied. Told me I had it in the bag for 3mths while knowing all along they offered it to someone else. I gave that company everything, got along with all staff and loved my job. Upper mgmt treats people very disrespectfully and knows you are disposable. Disgusting treatment of good, hard working employees!

Don’t ever work at whyte ave dollarama Edmonton, AB. The manager doesn’t know how to talk their employees. They do gossips about the other employees. It’s like a family business. It’s not a professional job at all. Dollarama doesn’t care about employees. They treat them like animals.
