What advice would you give the CEO of DISTINCTTECH Inc. about how to improve the company?
It's important to be truthful with the employees that are not family members. Telling everyone things are going great as you layoff 20+ members of your workforce is horrible. How does the one person who single handedly bring distinct to ruin remain employed while letting go of individuals who genuinely enjoy going to work get treated worse every day.
FYI generally employees that aren't scared of losing their jobs work better. having all those managers/office staff that don't contribute to money coming into the business remain while laying off half the outside workers who do all the work is a temporary solution to problems that remain un addressed.
You can dress professionally, but that doesn't matter... If you dress too nice, you probably won't get hired since you may be expecting a higher base rate.
