A company with a good heart

Di-Corp operates in some challenging and very cyclical industries. This means they have to grow and shrink as the market commands, but they try their best to take advantage of workshare opportunities that keep people employed, even if it's half time. Unlike most companies, though, when things turn around, Di-Corp is usually quick to reinstate people and benefits, even paying retroactively for things like RSP matching if possible. Generally speaking, pay is middle of the pack, but there are nice add-ons such as RSP matching, profit sharing, leadership development, insured benefits plus a health spending account, good vacation and a culture that really encourages people to take their vacation time.

Good Pay and shift, Horrible work environment

The pay is decent and the 7x7 schedule is nice, but the job is mind numbingly boring and tedious. The management isn't very good and the supervisor is miserable most of the time.

Fun place

It was a mix of tactical work with elements of strategy. This allowed me to make valued contributions. The President is pragmatic & very approachable, in the quarterly updates he tried to boost morale of the employees with generally optimistic future. The team overall has a very collaborative outlook.
