Dell Canada was a great place to grow
I liked Dell because they took time to nurture their employees. They knew talent and HR took the time to hire me despite having a file that was "this long" After hiring they were firm but reasonable and helpful. A manager who saw my potential after two performance review plans suited me up with one of their top agents. My performance went through the roof and I was given a chance at redemption because"I had it all I just had to put it together" Great teammates training and a class place to work at. 2006

It is a good working place with great culture. I strongly believe the company has the resources available to help their employees to achieve their goals.

Internal demands stifle an otherwise wonderful place to work
I don't even know where to start, what a whirlwind of a place to work. It is a good place to work and most colleagues are friendly and helpful. Most managers are supportive of individuals. Pay and benefits fair, lots of opportunities. On the other hand, constant internal trainings, unecessary KPIs, meetings, and unspoken expectation of always being logged in is actually counterproductive to doing your actual job. Expect a lot of stress dealing with internal confusion as you try to do your otherwise straightforward job.

Huge variations of Salary and Bonus in the peer team members
Overall hiring process is not satisfied BCZ, huge differences about the wages rate, bonus and other benefits among the team members. I had very bitter experience and realized that I had under paid employee during that time. 5 years later after me our manager hired a new hire (new person) got better pay rate 25% more than me even though less experience and less qualified when they hiring for the team at the same work location. All depends up on the hiring person (HR decision ) they wrongly fixed the salary (discrimination) for a person to person. (not acceptable). When we figure out (somehow) later of ourselves about the discrepancies and poor salary rate then we can't fight back to either your department manager or HR team, and they don't accepts their inabilities and mistakes instead they will kick you out (fired) from the job with a bad name and spoil your reputations. "I strongly advised that DO NOT JOIN this company", They're prefect cheaters!!!! HR team and Department managers should discuss together and make a better decision as before hiring a new hire to put in the same team.

My skills, english speaker, where I see me in a year, what I like

Shared on 6 December 2018

They do some group activities and always look for someone with "I can do this" attitude. They definitely look for someone who is ambitious and can deal with pressure. Focus on past experiences that show how you can handle stress and active goals. If your position is in sales, express a lot energy and communication skills is a must.
