Apprentice (Former Employee) – Brampton, ON – 7 April 2017
I was hired as an apprentice and in my opinion my apprenticeship with this company wasn’t taken seriously. Wasted close to a years’ worth of apprenticeship hours waiting to be signed and in the end I never was. Maintenance teaching and learning experiences were far and few between. I spent more time doing everything except what I was hired to do. I felt the work environment was an uncomfortable one and the lack of communication added to that. The crane operators were a good bunch of guys; the hours were great, the pay not the best, decent benefit package and it was close to home.
work hours, close to home
Apprentice position not honoured, lack of advancement, work environment, and management
Crane Operator (Former Employee) – Brampton, ON – 6 November 2017
it was an ok place to work the owner only cared for what you did never who you were or how you were i enjoyed learning the crane operations there had a great teacher and have enjoyed crane work ever since
Difficult job culture makes the work week difficult.
Team Leader, Light Gauge Carbon Steel Sheet (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 18 November 2016
Uncomfortable Work Environment. Work harder not smarter attitude, Antiquated Operating System, Micromanagement of even the most minute details without positive results. Sense that senior management is always listening in on you. Company is unresponsive to employee suggestions or complaints. Internal services are poor - Quality Control and Shipping are particular weaknesses.
Company pays on the higher end of the spectrum because it has difficulty recruiting high end talent.
Member of safety Committee, quality control (Current Employee) – brampton ont. – 8 October 2015

Senior Operator (Current Employee) – brampton – 3 May 2014
I left on my own terms. Some nice guys on the floor but the owners and management dont keep a good moral in the workplace. They expect you to preform many other duties besides your own. I was operating cranes, machinery, trucks, and also management duties while being paid well below average. We are also on a 2.5 year wage freeze thus far and working harder than ever with no opprotunities to advance, while the owners enjoy purchasing new exotic cars on a yearly basis to rub it in....they are lucky to have such hard working employees working for them.
