Apprenticeship not taken seriously
Written by Apprentice (Former Employee) from Brampton, ON on 7 April 2017
I was hired as an apprentice and in my opinion my apprenticeship with this company wasn’t taken seriously. Wasted close to a years’ worth of apprenticeship hours waiting to be signed and in the end I never was. Maintenance teaching and learning experiences were far and few between. I spent more time doing everything except what I was hired to do. I - more ... felt the work environment was an uncomfortable one and the lack of communication added to that. The crane operators were a good bunch of guys; the hours were great, the pay not the best, decent benefit package and it was close to home. - less
Proswork hours, close to home
ConsApprentice position not honoured, lack of advancement, work environment, and management
