The owners of this company did not talk to or consult the warehouse workers very often if at all and payed the warehouse workers the absolute minimum. The fellow employees were kind and helpful, but treatment of the physical workers was not great.

Family oriented buisiness

DeJong is a great place, lots of friendly staff. They recently relocated to Woodstock after 35 years in Norwich, they are in a temporary location until the new facility on Woodall way is complete later in 2020

Work is slow and little pay.

Work hours aren't guaranteed, its minimum wage for a job that is difficult on the body. This job is a lot better for students or young adults that just need a semi steady income.

Enjoyable atmosphere, professional people

I took over a year long maternity leave. Everyone was very nice and helpful, I enjoyed my time there and it was a good learning experience. My job consisted of primarily Accounts Payable and then I helped with different areas of the trucking business when needed.

Fun work environment, Great warehouse manager.

Over all my experience was great. I was constantly reminded of the good job I was doing. Management was easy to talk to for the most part. Like most places there were the ups and downs. My experience here was fun due to the atmosphere that was created with my coworkers on the floor. I learned of to work as a team, how to communicate with everyone on every level of management. The hardest part of my job was dealing with surprises throughout the day, such as unexpected container that we would have to unload.
