Decent place to work considering your in the arctic

No ot unless you stayed past your run.Difficult getting flights back home from hub. Arctic weather makes travel unsure. Some of camp rooms are nice. Some are decent some are terrible

worked underground mining, on a three week on three week off basis, all expenses paid by the company,this was a fly in position, salary and benefits were great,management was good

Productive mine, decent camp, decent food

To start it was challenging to work there with management and mine operations not on the same page. It got better right at the end with proper management finally in place but then everyone got laid off due to the economy.

Pros

14 days on 14 days off, decent wages and benefits

Cons

Management, was poor in several aspects and departments

Very interesting job

I really enjoyed this job for the most part. Was interesting to learn where and how Diamonds were located. It was tedious work looking down a microscope for 7 hours a day. Management was not very understanding of employees with small children. Met a lot of nice people from different countries.
