Reviews about Pay & benefits for Videographer at DanceBUG
Long work hours, no rest, repetitive tasks
I worked as a photographer and video camera operator at dancebug. Their events are often very long, 12-13 hours easily and you often work continuously without any breaks in between. Events happen across the province, so you drive 2-3 hours to get to the venue, and they only give you 100 which is barely enough to cover gas. Since events usually last multiple days, they do not have hotel or food budget so you are on your own. After 2-3 days of long work hours, and all expenses are deducted, you end up with barely any money with a very sored body. You use your own camera equipments so there are a lot of wear and tear on them. This company has changed name a few times because of its poor reputation, but its run by the same group of people. There are better companies to work for than dancebug.
Repetitive work, no brain power required
Long hours, no break, low paid, wear and tear on your own equipments
