Reviews about Pay & benefits for Customer Service Associate / Cashier at Dairy Queen
Fun workplace, although stressful and pay is not very fair.
Cashier/Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Halifax, NS - 9 January 2020
I can barely afford my $700 apartment working full-time at dairy queen. I am underpaid considering I've worked there for 2 years now and have even received promotions, I still make only 10 cents above minimum wage. "Full time" to them is not 40 hours, and that is what I asked for and was promised. I get around 29 hours a week and it makes life very difficult because I sometimes have to work other peoples shifts (within the same day of my own shift) just to receive close to full time hours.

It is not a very friendly environment for workers
Cashier/Customer Service (Current Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 16 July 2019
Very poor treatment to workers, and schedules are usually not flexible, the job itself isn’t bad but the location of abottsfielf Dairy Queen is very unsafe. Though given the circumstances of being unsafe the store owner did not provide security.
Pros
Good coworkers
Cons
Stressful

Overall clean and simple workplace. Best part is the employee discount on icecream! The management is phenomenal and very flexible on working around your schedule
