Property Management (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 6 November 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedSeems like head office is a mess at the moment people are leaving and head office scrambling. Need to hire more people instead of being cheap company has changed over the years

Operations Manager (Former Employee) - British Columbia - 27 September 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? None really. Leadership liked to bury the heads in the sand. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Poor leadership and employee support. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The environment was avoidance and denial.

No leadership
Sales (Former Employee) - Saskatoon, SK - 6 September 2023
Workplace management culture was very clicky and did not treat most staff with the respect they needed to exceed. If you didn’t know an answer people were scared to ask management. To many hands in each project with no clear vision.
Pros
Independence
Cons
Communications

Insights into Cushman & Wakefield
What people like
- Inclusive work environment
- Supportive environment
- Feeling of personal appreciation
Opportunity to learn and grow within the company
Facilities Manager, senior (Current Employee) - Montréal, QC - 2 August 2023
-managers provide tools to help succeed, lots of different people within the company who are pretty friendly and happy to help. - workplace culture is pretty "woke", which is fine but it gets shoved down your throat a little bit -expectations are quite high, lots of correspondence with contractors and clients during the day sometimes takes a lot of the day -def not a good place if you're looking for something chill or easy, again high expectations but also lots of support and resources are provided for both on the job help and educational materials to help push towards future goals, all of which are free of charge
Pros
Structure to move up, helpful/friendly people
Cons
High expectations, a lot of responsibility, duties seem to change a lot depending on what the boss-of-the-month decides

Great place to Intern
Accounting Intern (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 26 May 2023
Gives you a great understanding of how property accounting works on a large scale. It’s also a great place to grow and make valuable connections. Workload definitely takes time getting used to but it is very manageable and colleagues will help you if needed.

Worst company ever!
Office Administration (Former Employee) - Florida - 23 May 2023
They treat their employees like garbage. Upper management is the only people that matter. They don't care about employees or residents. Its all about the Benjamin's.

A horrid job
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Halifax, NS - 13 March 2023
Management are disorganised. The work environment is horrid, particularly if you are a woman and have to work at night in dark, unlit and secluded areas. They do not like their hard working staff taking their scheduled breaks.

Good place
Property Manager (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 1 February 2023
Great team loved that they care about local charities and their employees!! Always had support when needed and overall great experience. Most enjoyable part of the job was the many employee gatherings and team building sessions

Terrible Management, High Turnover with Employees, Low Salary
Guest Service Representative (Former Employee) - Canada - 22 January 2023
The work environment is unprofessional. Employees do not know how to execute conflict resolution. Supervisors have poor management skills; they cannot respectfully listen to criticism regarding harassment nor employee dissatisfaction. Critical information for the bottom of the chain is not trickled down from upper management. Hostile environment causing employees to develop a hostile attitude, resulting in poor work atmosphere. Company expects employees lower on the chain to respond to emails outside of work - little respect for work life balance.

Incompetent and lying Management. Toxic work environment, good on your face & hostile behind your back. Favoritism. Safety is not practiced. It is not a place to build your career.

Typical 3rd Party Property Management Firm
Manager (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 26 August 2022
C&W is a typical 3rd Party Property Manager. They don’t own the properties so they don’t have a lot of say in the long term capital or future of the buildings.
Pros
Steady pay, Mon to Fri.
Cons
Poor culture, lots of of old school technology

shortage of skilled managers
facility tech (Former Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 22 June 2022
Appointing a handy man as a manager was a risky move and did not pay off. Unable to lead team He needs 5 years work as manager assistant first before moving up to managing position

You are just a number
Property Management (Former Employee) - Canada - 26 November 2021
When CW cam into the management they restructured and got rid of all the really good leaders who made the culture so positive. Now you are just a number. There is a real negative moral and you never know when your time is up. There is a real sense of "affirmative action" where they are hiring to check a box of diversity and not hiring the most qualified
Pros
None
Cons
Poor leadership, no sense of commitment to the team

Not a good vibe
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto East - 30 November 2020
Management doesnt really care whether you work here or not. They are more focussed on the dollars instead of the employees. If you are an agent it is even worse. Sometimes it takes days to get an answer from management. Admin support is very scarce Not worth the 50% of your commissions that they take. THeir systems are very onerous and time consuming to work with. Takes too long to get paid on deals There is no company culture. They do not support those that are mid level or starting out so much. They care about the dollar that is IT. Not a first choice for a commercial realtor to work.
Cons
Terrible management support

Great
Property Manager (Current Employee) - Calgary, AB - 15 October 2020
I love working here. I admire the competence of the people with whom I interact. I am allowed to take on the challenges that I feel competent taking on. Yet there is always someone available to back me up as needed.

Terrible management and horrible work environment
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Markham, ON - 12 July 2020
Management is awful. They don't care about your families and expect a ton of work for not much pay. Mostly men work there and its very chauvinist environment Don't expect to be treated fairly.
Cons
long hours, no overtime
