Ok

Great friendly knowledgeable team. Micromanaged at every level. So many middle management positions makes it challenging to get any work done or make any positive change as there is a committee for literally everything.

Good hours

Able to work as much or as little as you want. Good people. Management is okay. Some team leaders are understanding of being short handed and work load varies

It’s ok.

It was fun at first, but later on you will feel more tired and overworked because of shortage of nurses. They keep on hiring but, everyone is leaving. Management are doing there best.

Staff here are okay, management is good. The shifts here are rotating so it’s never boring but you are required to do a lot of tasks within that rotation.Pay is fine( within standards)

The team is great but management sucks

Not sure why CVH but moreso THP as a whole hires managers that do little to support their staff. Imagine hiring a nursing manager that is not a nurse and has no clue what nurses do. Having a master's degree does not make you qualified to manage a team. There are many more qualities of a person that should be considered. That being said, my direct peers were phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for a better team. I've always felt supported from senior staff and there was no issue that could not be addressed by our team.

Pros

Team work

Cons

Poor management

Very supportive and helpful staff and management

It's a excellent place to work, fair pay and good management and staff...I strongly agree ,it develops our skills and growth.Though busy place, management is supportive for staff

Progressive and fast paced

I have gained a lot of experience within my scope of practice. There are many programs you can join that can challenge other skills you may have. I just think that for the work and knowledge required of Therapy Assistants within Trillium Health Partners on acute and sub-acute units, they deserve a higher pay scale. There are allied positions that doesn't require or utilizes a lot of clinical skills/knowledge and therefore shouldn't have a higher pay grade than positions that do.

Stressful and noisy environment

Working conditions are horrible, minor elective surgeries were moved to M-Site so what left are heavy Cancer and broken hips surgeries. There are no supporting systems for Nurses. Nursing Station is like a fish market, so noisy. A lot of bosses directing young nurses what to do, but yet they themselves just sitting on their a** looking at the phone.

I experienced great management

Supportive management that treated my as a part of the team, and like a human being. Extensive training opportunities for Clinical Resource Team nurses. Many opportunities to learn something new and to use your skills.

Pros

clinical support systems

Cons

Full time shifts follow a DDNN rotation; it's a pro if you prefer that schedule

Horrible training and management

Environmental services is a horribly managed department. So many staff. No training. Senior staff are slackers and sit around all of the time.Minimal supplies.Schedule is not clear to read. Nothing good about this department.I quit to go back to school.

The best years of my life

I made so many friends working here. It is a very organized and accepting culture. I love the many challenges I encountered that I feel made me a better nurse. The colleagues I had were supportive. Management was always interested in how they could do better. The best place to work.

Pros

Excellent management

Cons

12 hour night shifts

below average

unbeneficial from my experience, hurting and unfair - a typical day of work as scheduled- - management poor performance and revengeful --workplace culture - poor based on likes and dislikes of the person, disrespectful communication and extensive reporting on each other for the smallest thing- -

Rn in training

I was a student and had my clinical placement at the Credit Valley Hospital. My experience as a student was very positive and helpful regarding the given tasks. My preceptor was very supportive. The unit and the unit educator were always here for guidance and feedback. One of my best experiences during my training

It's ok

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know because I do feel they take advantage of their staff and do not pay fairly. They are cutting back more and more and honestly job security is lacking and threatens people who are working there.

staff have nice big lounge

I love that in the emerge you get to work with all group ages. I love that most of the staff support each other and help each other during busy times. I love the inter-professional team work.
