Classic Corporate Kitchen
Craft was a very interesting experience, the staff makes the whole place better. You’re doing similar work repetitiously repeating the same task. Training is all from a book and quite subjective, one sous chef says one way another the opposite. Started to feel like they have copied a formula from other restaurants and ripped the skill level and heart. Nothing fun or interesting it seems just simple quantity food and surviving with no execution needed

Don’t work here
Worked at Toronto location. Most of the management is HORRIBLE, they do not treat their workers with any respect. You could do everything you’re supposed to do and they will always find something to criticize you for. The staff themselves are amazing but the management is so poor that it ruins your entire experience. They are on a complete power trip and see you as below them and thus treat you horribly despite most of them being servers once themselves. Will lie to you about promotions.

Not a healthy place
Very busy and good job security. But the place lacks management and proper trading. If you have lots of experience you will pick it up fast, but be warned you will be expected to work yourself to death and deal with multiple managers who expect everything different and pump out food as fast as possible and little care for employee safety or food quality.

Not a friendly or leisurely place.
The uniform was incredibly expensive. They expect you to always be available for them. The staff discount was only 25%.The schedule for the following week usually never was made until Friday, Saturday, sometimes Sunday. It would often conflict with outside of Craft responsibility.Overall it was not a fun place to work. You could never not take the job home with you.

Fun workplace with guest-oriented service
CRAFT is a fun workplace and your coworkers become like family. Management is always there to hear your concerns and help you balance your work schedule with everyday life, another job, or if you're in school (which the majority of the staff is). Lots of opportunities to pick up shifts, especially in the summer so a perfect summer job to keep busy and save up some cash. Great winter job if you're in school as the restaurant isn't as busy compared to summer (tourist season) so easy to balance work-school life!!
