Truck driver, dock worker (Former Employee) - Orillia, ON - 1 February 2019

Smaller family business, owner semiretired, still comes in to oversee at times. Several co workers decent to work with, work with them they will work with you. Owner very old school, very particular in way he prefers things to be done. very authoritative, can be good and decent on a good day. Driver is to work with buyer, whom is put as a supervisor to driver. found if did not strictly follow his way he would make things difficult! when upset he would raise voice and in a scolding manner; state his belief. He would try intimidating by saying owner or other manager is not pleased with your performance you have to do better! tell you that if owner saw this or that you would be fired, then he would set things up way that he said you would be fired for. Job itself is decent other than odd hrs. driving part is as states. unloading and putting items in places can be physical work, sometimes daunting but overall ok.

smaller company with decent staff.

Cons

hrs can be crazy and sometimes lacking.

Don’t do it, no matter what you do it’s not good enough, drama, clicks, Unappreciated, don’t expect a thank you, Revolving door, low pay for the amount of work they expect from you, management unapproachable unless your in the fab group.

You'll have the opportunity to do some good quality work here. If you're competent, and can keep your head out of the politics, you'll be just fine. There are some real gem customers, but as with anything higher end, there are some that will do your head in. Customer service is pretty key, so be prepared to smile and nod. I loved the department I was in, but it's not for everyone. There is opportunity to move around though, should you show interest.The owner is unique and be a handful, but keep on his good side and he'll look after you.Not all department managers are created equal, but there are some good ones.

Very Enjoyable Experience . It"s Defently has that Work Family Vibe.Everyone is very Professional, And takes Pride in Their Job and Cares about the Customers .Always Going above and beyond to accommodate the customer if they're able to.
