Hands down Favourite job I’ve ever had. really wish it was easier to get hired on full time. No wonder no one wants to leave. would work there forever
Department managers dating, bullying, gossip, management playing favourites, too many cons to list. Everyone is always in a meeting, and the arrogance with some people is beyond laughable!
Costco is supportive for students and always make room for students when they return home between semesters. I really appreciate that. I work with a hard working and great group of people.
typical day at work was structured and busy
how to properly approach people, and assist their needs
management was understanding, and kind
workplace culture is always positive
I recommend Costco as a good work environment. With the opportunity for higher salary depending on hours worked. Manager accommodates employees with their needs.
Pros
Helth and dental
Cons
manual work
Nice place to work, can be stressful but normally just fast-paced. Promotes from within so hard work and attention to detail is rewarded. Good pay and benefits
Very fast paced and stressful for a first job. Manager was very much by the books which was great but she also had a bit of an attitude if you messed up, same with my co-workers. They also didn’t speak much English and were hard to understand at times which led to frustration for everyone involved. Hours were a little ridiculous (anywhere from 5am-11pm). Overall didn’t enjoy the experience and quit after about a month and a half
Pros
Decent pay, good benefits, Members were generally nice, free membership
Cons
Stressful, irregular schedules, rude co-workers.
i loved this job more than any other, only thing that got me out was a manager who decided my anxiety was unacceptable despite my continuing to work and even harder during anxious episodes (hard work calms me)
Pros
no arbitrary rules concerning lifting, if you can safely lift it go for it
Cons
unclear scheduling at least in my old warehouse
A typical day at work is fast paced and collaborative. You'll be tested on your problem solving skills as you are trying to maintain an optimal customer experience for all that are shopping in your store. Management are firm, but fair. Workplace culture is based on customer satisfaction. The hardest part of the job is keeping up with the pace.
Very good work place with efficient team and wonderfull mangaement makes works easier. Highly recommended place to work because of its best benefits and encouraging workmates.
45 dans le public très ponctuel . Et aime les défi
Pros
Qualité pris
Cons
Aucune
Soon as you show up for work in the morning, you hang around your fellow coworkers for around 10 minutes or so.. do what you need to do before your shift. when its time, you punch in, grab a buggy, a pellet jack and shrink wrap and go to your assigned department and you basically move as efficiently as possible stocking up whatever needs to be stocked up. Shrink wrap whatever is leftover and forklift drivers to put it away while you work on restocking other products. Once everything is done in one isle, move on to the next isle. If you can restock 7 isles within 2 hours or less, it is considered really good. all pellets are to be aligned. 1 hour prior to opening the doors to members, clean up will commence. Everybody work together as a team to get the wearhouse open for members to shop. After that, break time. break time is only 30 minutes like every other places. Even if you go pass the 30 minute mark by 1 second, itll get recorded onto your review at then end of the 3 month period when its time for a review. Learned how to use a pellet jack for the first time ever. It was confusing at first but after using it a few times, youll get the hang of it. Managements were nice for the most part. At times, it could be fustrating when two managers tell you to do 2 different things at once.
The continues monitoring by the managers creates a very stressful workplace that I did not enjoy. You are always pushed to do things faster. It is also a pain to deal with bad costumers.
It was great working there. Management was very accommodating. Learnt a lot of things of how to be productive and efficient at the same time. Learnt how to juggle different responsibilities to the best of one's ability.
fun place to work with lots of perks and flexible time. I like interacting with the members the most. Time passes fairly during the most of the time you feel busy and engaged most of the time. a lot of things are happening almost every-time so you don’t feel left out friendly management
To much stress on pushing credit card/executive card.
Very, hard to get into a Costco, and to get full time.
Management's, has their favorites and they get first pick. Longtime, full time employees are clicky. Made some great pt friends. Hard to get days off.
As Part-timer. It is great company to work for. They treat you with a lot of respect. Work hard. Always be punctual. Apply for Costco. One of the best companies in Canada. They treat with great pay.
A typical day would include getting started right away and attending to job responsibilities. The day throughout is fast-paced not leaving time to stand around, its a busy environment which is great for those who like to run around and stay busy. Management is really considerate towards its employees caring for their needs and respecting their rights. the overall culture is diverse throughout all locations and everyone is quite friendly.
I have been through a lot both in and outside of work. The atmosphere is always changing, and as long as you can pull through the punches, it can be very rewarding.
