Costco Wholesale Employee Review

Any company that claims they're a "family" is a red flag.

No real connection with management. They don't respond to any sort of phone call or email. Shifts change at will, and managers can be pushy and guilt trip you into giving up your time for the company. The "company life" is great, as is advancement *if* you can become permanent. Otherwise, don't get attached.

Head down and do your own thing

Working stock at Costco is nice, everyone has their own area to work in and you can just play music and do your thing. As long as the work is done properly and on time, there is no need to worry. The other employees are very nice and easy to talk to. Most of the time, breaks were taken together so everyone would be in the break room talking to one another and enjoying each other's company. Costco cares about its employees, they provide lunches or events that happen every 2 months or so. Lunch is almost always provided when inventory is done. During covid, they provided staff with snacks and water/pop to show appreciation to employees who continued to work.

Pros

Free lunches, Friendly Staff

Cons

Repetitive, Heavy stuff in awkward spaces

Best job I’ve ever worked other than Domino’s

Manager’s / Supervisor’s are wonderful. They are super flexible with work and personal life and treat you like a human being. Everyone on the job is usually in a good mood and I would gladly work there again in the future.

Same location

Fun fast paced environment, however job security is not stable when first hired.

Very faced paced and challenging, however, it was filled with positive people that encourage you to do good. A typical day involved stocking inventory and making sure things were placed in the correct place.

Pros

High salary

Cons

Stressful
