My coworkers were all very nice, everyone was friendly, the atmosphere was nice and it was fast paced so the days went by very quickly!
Most enjoyable part of the job was the people that I met!
Pros
Good hours, good pay!
Cons
Long days on your feet, sometimes extremely fast paced depending on how busy it is
If you work part time here good luck. They refuse to work with your other job hours because we all know part time isn’t enough these days, they want Costco to be your primary job. They make it super difficult to get another job and never work with you about anything when it comes to more hours or other positions. Certain people who are in management that shouldn’t be.
Pros
Great People
Cons
Management
If you dont have a life costco is for you. The hours of work are really bad, if you want a weekend off you have to work 9 days in a row. If you upset the wrong manager, then you get stuck working 9 days in a row. For someone who has a family I am treated like I don't have a family. Fellow employees are okay, but management needs a lot of work, maybe even an over haul. When you have an issue with, say working 9 days in a row, they don't fix it, they just say they will deal with it but never do. The scheduling is the worse part of the job. Nothing is consistent or even close to the same. My 2 days off a week are constantly switched and I end up working more days in a row then 5.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
No set schedule, poor management
Very repetitive, front end staff are great, mangers are awful, high expectations of front end staff. They need to practice what they preach, ie: follow the rules that they expect of the other staff to follow. Lack of communication. General manager yells at staff in front of members. Lack of support, breaks are late, unorganized, Mangers do nothing, they expect the supervisors to do it all, if something goes wrong u are to blame, not the member. Don't follow seniority rules, no room for advancement, Latest manager hired is so unorganized, she needs to go back to her old department.
Pros
Free membership for family
Cons
Mangers
Working at costco is physically demanding and you have to work every single weekend. You're only days off are in the middle of the week making it poor work/life balance. Management is rude and has favorites. Don't ever get hurt on the job because they will hate you for it. The pay isn't good unless you've worked there for 5 years consistently. The worst thing is there is alot of gossip at Costco.
Pros
Free food samples
Cons
Long hours; Poor management; gossip in workplace
Great place to work
Management and coworkers are fun and great to work with
Excellent wages and although retail environment still enjoyable to go to work
Always being rushed and management doesn't listen to you. Not a fun place to work. A lot of drama and dont get to enjoy your break time in peace. The members are also very rude to you for no reason.
typical day at work was structured and busy
how to properly approach people, and assist their needs
management was understanding, and kind
workplace culture is always positive
I recommend Costco as a good work environment. With the opportunity for higher salary depending on hours worked. Manager accommodates employees with their needs.

A typical day at work is fast paced and collaborative. You'll be tested on your problem solving skills as you are trying to maintain an optimal customer experience for all that are shopping in your store. Management are firm, but fair. Workplace culture is based on customer satisfaction. The hardest part of the job is keeping up with the pace.
As Part-timer. It is great company to work for. They treat you with a lot of respect. Work hard. Always be punctual. Apply for Costco. One of the best companies in Canada. They treat with great pay.
A typical day would include getting started right away and attending to job responsibilities. The day throughout is fast-paced not leaving time to stand around, its a busy environment which is great for those who like to run around and stay busy. Management is really considerate towards its employees caring for their needs and respecting their rights. the overall culture is diverse throughout all locations and everyone is quite friendly.
Treat employees like slaves. Rude, disrespectful management. Very high stress for very low pay. You are hired on a temporary basis so, no job security if that is what is sought. The full time employees (with benefits) are for the most part, miserable. The company likes to put forward the appearance of a happy workplace but nothing could be further from the truth. Work here only if you need something short term.
Pros
None
Cons
Everything
Workload is balanced, always something new to learn, you can work in different department.
They guarantee you a 25 hours a week at least.
Hardest part of the job is that you are up on your feet most of the day except during break time.
I enjoy the people that work there and the hours are amazing and works out for me.
The Benefits are higher end, they treat their staff with respect, there is more of a chance they would promote from within opposed to hire from outside.
Pros
Supplied desserts and such in the lunchroom
Cons
Not very Flexible
Management often had us understaffed and took away hours from us with barely any notice.
Was hired mainly as a cash assistant, but they had me pushing carts almost every shift.
Well organized and great place to work. Employees were very friendly to get along with and good workers. Learned each job role effectively and they were great teachers. Gives workers opportunity and is fair. Overall great work experience.
Pros
Can make your way up in the company
Cons
Seniority
If you are interested in working here, make sure you are physically capable as you will be standing and moving around on your feet the entire shift. Great benefits for sure though.
organized, profession and fun environment, people are nice, depends on what shift you have, I used to work morning 5am, so it took me sometime to used to the sleeping habit. Once you used to the sleeping habit, it gets easaier.
