typical day at work was structured and busy how to properly approach people, and assist their needs management was understanding, and kind workplace culture is always positive
I despise working at this warehouse. Sales comes before safety or sanity. Members are pushed in and coronavirus protocol is broken daily. We are overworked and mistreated by many people in management positions.

This is a fast past work environment consistent multitasking is a key skill to work here I would say. Definitely a fun work place, you will definitely make friends here - Also this company has numerous opportunities to move up
hard to get weekends off
The usual workday consist of serving people who cause quite a bit of trouble throughout the day. Everyday there will usually be different food items you will serve/sample to the customers. You will learn how to prepare food safely, as a result you will actually be certified with a certificate in food safety. The management is not good, very rude and unreasonable. They nitpick every little thing and rarely does anything while at work, they also leave work earlier than any other employee. The workplace culture is quite exciting, the employees here are extremely nice and work together at the end of the shift. The hardest part of the job is the amount of stress that goes through you everyday. However a slightly redeeming factor is that the hours you work are usually 6-7 hours with a decent wage. Working here can be a good career choice only if you are prepared to fully invest yourself in being a low skilled food sample giver.
Free samples as well as an survivable wage with flexible hours, They also have cheap food menu items.
Management and workplace conditions.
Usually started by collecting shopping carts in the parking lot for a few hours followed by cashiering a few hours and then back outside collecting carts. The work was easy and the people generally friendly. I did not like some of the supervisors who were power hungry and thought they were better than people because their pay was higher. Overall it was a decent part time job with flexible hours, it just didn't suit me.
Working for Costco is great, along with the fact that everyone is a team player. Teamwork is what you can get and what you can see when working for this company. You will be given the opportunity to work in the majority of the departments depending on your experience and skills. But they never limit you, because there are always new opportunities for you to experience. Even if you don't have experience in a department, they'll give you training so that you'll feel confident enough to do it yourself. I was personally given the opportunity to work in many departments. Every day at work a new door is opened for you. Your voice and your concerns will be heard and will be considered. The company always has your back. Whatever the situation may be, you always have your leaders backing you up and helping you every step of the way.
doors are opened to new opportunities and new challenges
hours are unpredictable, some shifts are worked outside in harsh weathers
Simply put, standing at a cash register, assembly line service is neither challenging or rewarding. Worked in three different departments, book store, which was a bit more rewarding. And other than cash, worked in price changes. This position was more rewarding as it required attention to detail. The women I worked with in price changes were great, we were a small group, but we could depend on each other and there was great communication. Very little opportunity at the time for women to advance towards management. That has of course since changed. Left because I took the buy out that was being offered.
We would be given various tasks on which we would use our skills given to us through training. Work side by side with our co-workers and management to deliver customers with a pleasant experience from the best of our abilities.
Working in the meat department once you get there , you start working. Its a enjoyable work place because you're not isolated and surrounded by customers and co workers.
$4 dollar increase on wage on Sunday.
A lot of bending over while refilling merchandise.
