Good pay, fast pace and always in a rush

Pay is good, no other mine pays like this at the same level. But it's not over-paying Pro: payCon: rush for everything, less big company thinking on the front line

Do not work here

The company has an extremely high turn over rate. They equipment is in extremely poor condition and management in the company is very poor at all levels!

Great place

Was there for 2 years, loved the schedule and the town. Never would have left but housing is painful in Tumbler. I worked on 2 crews and they were both great. The benefits paid all of my son’s medications from day one, and the bonuses were a nice surprise.

Awesome crew I had to work along side with and for!!

My fellow coworkers from the bud driver to the rest a the whole crew I was on were a great bunch a people. A bunch that went out of there way when I needed help with anything, as I didn’t have mining experience before I came to the Willow mine with respect to all the rules and regulations, and safety protocols. Awesome team to be a part of it was!!

The 7/7 rotation and could pick up extra shifts, which was really nice. Bus transportation to and from site. My shifter(Bossman)

So many rules ha

Us vs Them mentality

Ive worked at many places in may life but this mine has shown to be one of the worse. This is also according to others who have worked at other mines as well.

Stay away

By far, one of the WORST companies out there. There isn't one thing on their core values that they adhere to.Treat people like dirt, way too much drama, lack of ethics, unscrupulous behaviour by management, terrible safety record and they just do not care about anyone.. let's not even talk about the nepotism and favoritism that transpires.

Terrible workplace

I worked there for years and I watched the place go more and more downhill. The Hr is a joke.. if you even consider the one guy who is unavailable 100% of the time Hr. Management is a joke.. it’s literally the s**pid leading the blind there. No organization, nobody has a clue what’s going on. The turnover rate is high. They have burnt their bridge with most of the locals so you just get all these new people coming in constantly and you just count down and watch the life and passion leave them within a week or two. They treat there employees terribly, don’t put in any effort to keep the good ones. The stress is way too much, you literally spend your entire seven days recovering from the h*ll you’ve just been through. All they care about is production. Zero support and expectations through the roof. Some of the other workers there are cool.

Safety is low on priority list, management tells you one thing and does the exact opposite, moral was so low that the overall feeling at work was very negative

A growing company with incredible opportunity for career development

As a relatively new company, Conuma still has some growing pains and areas with room for improvement. However, the opportunity for learning and growth here is tremendous. You really get endless opportunity to learn and your hard work does get noticed.Conuma offers great compensation, bonuses , and benefits. No complaints there. Living in Northern BC can be an adjustment due to the remote location but it's a dream if you are into outdoor activities like hiking or snowmobiling.

The people at Conuma resources were very friendly and fun to work with.

Conuma Resources is a very good place to work. The volume of work, however, can be overwhelming. The remote location makes it difficult to recruit workers, but once there, people are happy. Tumbler Ridge is a lovely place to live. Small town feel in a gorgeous location. If you like the outdoors, you will love Tumbler Ridge.

Friendly and safe place to work. Very challenging.

Conuma offers a person a great work/life balance with 7 on and 7 off. There are 3 different sites around Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd so lots of opportunities. Management cares about the employees and the employees care about each other. Safety is a core value…not a prioritized item, this means it’s never bumped to a lower standard. Management is approachable and almost all of the leaders have worked their way up from labourer/truck driver. It’s a really great place!! Plus with 100% benefits and rrsp matching, they really do hit all the points as a world class mining company that takes care of their people.

You’ll need 7 days off to recover from this place. Toxic work environment.

Nepotism and favouritism at its finest. Alcatraz mine. You’ll need 7 days to recover from this place. Not safe. Clicky. Management fires you without cause. Management from Fort Mac. brings in all their buddies and fires locals.

This operation allows a angry HR, to fire people at will! There’s no respect for the average skilled operator. Unless compensation is your only driver…avoid this place at all costs. Far too many available jobs for the skilled, to consider this dirty, unsafe company

You're a number not a name

You'll get paid, but don't expect to be acknowledged . Borderline to break even if not local . No camp , no travel pay, no LOA . 7 on 7 off turn around. High turnover rate with the business value of keep hiring but dont try to keep . Burnt their bridge with the locals and be prepared to feel expendable. Will swap you from days to nights with as little as half days notice . Any dispute of such and you'll be told to take it or drag up . Management will not even acknowledge you in the event of disagreement , or an attempt to find a fair solution . Better off to save your breath and walk . They've earned a badge for banter industry wide . Basically a mine that runs happily with the concept of expendable temp labour . Always another sucker in line with fresh hope .

Worked with a few good shifters .

Scary place to work.

Need to watch your back or the "Click" will throw you under the bus. Safety is not number one anymore, to them it is a joke. Equipment is garbage. No one has a clue on what is going on.

Mayne a hat if you are lucky

Fun and exciting at the start

Here you are just a number. It’s all about who you know, and what you can do for them. That’s how you get to move up! You will need to supply your own knee pads. Confidentiality is definitely a huge “NO”. Everyone knows the moment it happened

Home everyday if you live in the community

Unpaid travel, bonuses when the targets aren’t so far out of reach, you really are just a number

Worst company I’ve worked for, make it sound good during the interview, but nothing but empty promises

Management is an absolute joke. Lazy employees are not held accountable, leaving hard working people to pick up the slack. One big circus! Management team is constantly looking to fire their own work force. Can’t believe a word they tell you. Constantly trying to get out of paying production bonuses. Management in place that can’t understand the simple tasks of employees

7 on 7 off schedule Some alright people

Unpaid travel, management and hr are constantly trying to go after the work force

Oligarchy, horrible place to work unless you’re in the clique.

Managers that have no idea how to manage. Zero respect for hard work and commitment. Zero people skills. Spiteful HR people that come after you if they take a disliking to you. They’ve hired contractors that do the same job as you and get paid $3000 more a month for the same job. They bump people off their equipment to let new contractors run them. Horrible work culture, complete toxic work environment.
