Job security? Not sure that exists with casual part-time and where that casual position is contract based. You can also always find the same jobs constantly being posted on here (every 3-4 months), so there is no way that they care about creating 'security' and or creating retention programs for employees to stay on long term (perhaps they do this to get away with not having to pay the employee for certain extra perks that come with full-time long term positions).

I think they should have stayed on the outskirts of Kitchener and not developed all of these satellite locations near and or on university campuses...there is no point when universities are going more and more to a practical application rather than solely a theory application. Colleges need to push out those universities rather than be swallowed up by them as college is the better experience and gives you the better jobs when completed.

Via email for a position with the day care centre on campus, however the email was quite demanding and aggressive...meaning that you will only be given day/time available to interview and you will have a deadline to get back to them (not sure why they just don't call), and where their language & tone show you they are not about you, as they are only about them. This communication style also shows how they can be quite autocratic in their approach and would much rather do things on their terms than to respect candidates throughout the entire recruitment/hiring process. You will hear the same info when being called that they only care to interview on one day to fit into their schedule, no one else's - so you are stuck between a rock and a hard place if you say "no" to interview because they chose when it would take place and didn't give any information in the email about any accommodations.

None, as it's very low pay and all the positions are casual/part-time contract positions that last no longer than a term.

It's super expensive and should not cost employees anything as it's on the outskirts of Kitchener and there is not reliable public transit. No one should ever be forced to pay $140+ a month for parking where they work (what is this world coming to?).

Partial load employee, not a secure position as a full time permanent employee.
