Fast paced,stressful at times. Seniority rules

Forklift Operator/Order Picker (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 1 June 2023

Pay is good, lots of overtime but it goes by seniority.Regardless of what they say you are and always will be a number there are just too many employees for it to be otherwise. Owner & Management know how to make it look like they give a care but they don't.That's why they're successful, they know how to play the game and put on a front.It's the same way they get accounts.Anytime they have a problem they throw money at it.Seniority is everything there. Your shift will probably be horrible for a long time. Don't do anything ridiculous and you'll have a job for life. Don't expect to get rich from it and kissing up will only get you so far.Go there, do your work and make your money and you really don't even have to work that hard.

Dead end job, no room for advancement, horrible dental benefits

Needs improvement

I didn’t have any complaints or warnings involving my work ethic there, always did overtime when it was available etc. and they let me go my last day of probation with the excuse of “unable to perform work duties” or something along those when no supervisors mentioned about anything I needed to improve on or anything and as far as I was aware they were all happy with my work. Never did get a realistic answer from them just seemed like they used me to help fill a spot for time being then fired me when they didn’t need me

The Ontario locations are 5 star. Dorval in Quebec is only 2.As a technician, it’s interesting. If you are a forklift driver it’s non stop with extra hours.

Best company I have ever worked in to date

Out of all of the companies I have worked in this is a company that really respects you as an employee you do not get micro-managed and they appreciate the efforts you put in. The workplace environment is very friendly where no one is stepping on anyone's toes and there is good team work.

Okay to make quick money

The management absolutely sucked but there was alot of decent people there who looked out for you, if it wasn't poor and lack of leadership skills, the company would be alot better. the place is like a revolving door people quitting or getting fired and new people coming in.

Respectful and Fun Place to Work.

Lets get the elephant out of the room first. The work here is not at all tiring as compared to similar warehouses. The pay rate is the best among other warehouse jobs. The workers, supervisors, management, everyone is kind, respectful and always ready to help. All these might sound superficial, but its true. I have worked in 3 different warehouses, and this is the place where I feel like working.

Start each day by selecting a machine, work huddle and then receive work orders. orders are done in pairs/teams to complete for designated loading door. after each completed order, report to supervisor and receive new instructions. Instructions could be from picking, loading, replenish inventory and putting away inventory.
