great first job out of school to learn about the fashion industry but there is no career advance and a very old school type company and bosses. The people are very super friendly and helpful, there are also always events too.

Too stressful and too much working hours

Some of coworker is not professional technical worker. They do not understand the technical ,but they like to give you opinion and making you crazy!It is very stressful company!

Pros

One or two times a year.

Cons

Long hour working if you need to finish the task.

Positive, they promote within

Fast pace productive work place

Computor pattern maker and fit tech. (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 12 June 2014

• Prepare a costing sheet for estimate and followed to proceed with a 1st fit request from factory. • Mark base size, style identifications and sewing instructions to follow with good sketches and digtals. • Communicate with sales rep to confirm style details such as hardware, buttons, belts, fabrics, threads, labels. • Examine sketches, original samples, sizes and specifications of designs to meet various customer’s standard. • Create pattern by computer, draft a muslin on maniquins, digitize pattern and forward peaces to computer. • May also send spec to factory and they create their own pattern accordinly to the fabric to sewing the sample. • Based on fit sample received communicate with customer or inhouse fit and back to factory for fit inquired. • Request continued fit samples if necesary, once approved request AD and PP samples for customer. • Work with production people to meet the customer’s delivery date. • Confirm grading once approved to go ahead with production.
