Does Commissionaires only hire veterans?
Answer: No. Although Commissionaires has a social mandate to employ veterans, we always accept qualified applicants interested in and committed to improving the well-being and safety of Canadians.


Does Commissionaires train its employees?

Answer: Each Division offers training for a variety of services from security guarding and first aid, through to customer service and use of force. Inquire with your local Division to determine which courses are offered in your area.


Do I have to pay for training?

Answer: Pricing and availability vary across the country. Inquire with your local Division to determine what is available and if any fees apply.


Does Commissionaires teach the security guard licensing course?

Answer: Yes. All of our Divisions deliver a provincially-sanctioned security guard training course. Fees may apply in some cases. Inquire with your local Division to determine if fees apply.


Will Commissionaires teach me the course even if I am not an employee?

Answer: Yes. Commissionaires will train you even if you are not an employee. However, fees will be applied and priority for class space is given those training to become a commissionaire. Fees will vary between Divisions. Inquire with your local Division to determine current pricing.


Do you offer benefits?

Answer: Many of our Divisions have invested in benefits packages for their employees. Please inquire with your local Division to determine if a benefits package is available in your area.
