Delta branch of Commercial Lighting - overall impression is negative.
Inside sales, Projects, Lighting specialist (Former Employee) – Delta, BC – 4 February 2018
I can only speak about the head-office – Delta, BC branch of Commercial Lighting.
There is a deficit of work priorities and defined operational coordination. Task and project priorities are set not by their value to the company but by employees’ mutual intimidation. Those with the loudest voices and uncompromising attitudes get their way.
There is a deficiency of professional culture. Rudeness is common.
Success of business rather depends on heroics of individual personnel members more than on organizational workflow.
There is a bizarre allocation of human resources: under-performing staff members are promoted (I guess, to get them out of the way of operations). Experienced, advanced trained and proactive staff members are kept in low-level routine roles (again, I guess, because those people are good at what they are doing).
Pros
Compensation and latest benefits package were fair and adequate to my responsibilities at the time.
Cons
Lack of administration knowledge and motivation methods on behalf of management.
