Good for someone who is starting their career

The systems and technologies used were so old, the company was not willing to invest money for an upgrade. Each department had to order their own distilled water to drink, and you had to fill out a form to place the order (in the 21st century???). Wouldn't recommend this company

Unethical feeling

Company is not concerned about anything but making money, uses new recruits for leads then discards, initial training was pretty good, but once back and in the field you are belittled by managers.

Pros

None

Cons

Long hours and 100% commission.

Its a company where time is money.

Your full salary is base on commission and if you like Business to Business (B2B), talking with new people, selling insurance or financial solution. This is the Job for you.

Pros

Their is no limit on salary.

Cons

Salary is base on sales.

Fun place to work for

I really enjoyed my time at Combined. The drawback for me was having to rely on public transit/uber/taxis to get around and they do require you to have a DL, amazing credit scores and a reliable vehicle. The company gives full training (paid if you're not receiving any income) with accommodations at a really nice hotel. The company training included testing which is great bc it allows the instructor and yourself to see where you need improvement. There's always someone there to help you once you're out in the field. You're never alone.

Pros

Extensive training, excellent support

Cons

DL & reliable vehicle required but that is on me, not Combined

Don't be fooled

Pure commission. Residual is a lie, if you leave you get nothing, not even the commissions owed to you. They hire everyone they talk to, so trust me, you are not special. They do not want you to do it part time to build your client base, you must quit all other types of work. You get thrown to the wolves. So called onboarding rarely happens. You are told you are an independent contractor, set your own hours, yet they force you into meetings, set hours they want you to work and have chants and cheers at meetings.....very silly and does not get you hyped. They do play favorites in the company and have no morals or a moral compass. If you think your territory is safe, wrong. As long as you get results, they turn a blind eye.You will be told you have paid training and an iPad, but the truth is you are given a receipt for both and it is reported as your income. In fact, I challenged them on the price of the iPad as it was being billed to me for a lot over what they sold for in stores. Think about it, they buy hundreds of these iPads at a corporate discount and up charge you.If I had time, I would go into how one Regional Manager in Saskatchewan tried to pressure an elderly client that was on a fixed income into buying more......made me sick to my stomach.

Pros

Not really any due to their lack of morals, but yet, they are pros at guilting people into buying.

Cons

They say "Do the right things because it's the right thing to do", perhaps they should look at that again, So cons.....it really is a con.

Collaborative but competitive career and your hard working pays off

Being 100% commission based can be scary, but now I wouldn’t have it any other way. The flexibility to work your own schedule is incredible for working parents.

Pros

Flexibility with work life balance

Cons

You are responsible for your self.

Flexible hours and relaxed culture

It is difficult to reach people by telephone but the leadership team gives you pointers and training for each individual situation. There are meetings each weekday morning and then you set your own hours of when you want to make calls.

Pros

Paid training, good leadership

Cons

Difficult to make sales

Hard place to work as they don’t give you a base pay. 100% commission. They do give advances but it has to be paid back in full.

They definitely are good at romanizing the job. However the nitty gritty of it it’s not sunshine and rainbows as they make it out to be. They pressure you to sell sell sell and make bonuses but you have to have a conscious when doing business properly and I don’t think any of them did.

Pros

Flexible schedule

Cons

Everything else

If you can ignore the cult-like nature of the organization and focus on doing things your own way, you might be okay.

Combined insists on using outdated approaches to sales which do not work. The meetings are absolutely useless if your IQ is over 80 points. Although they pressured me relentlessly to attend every one of them, thankfully, they weren't mandatory. If you follow their system of selling, you WILL fail. It's like 1956 meets 2021.The upside is that if you ignore everything that they tell you to do, and you are extremely motivated to do things your own way, you just might be able to make a living at it.But it's a long shot, and it takes YEARS to accomplish.

Pros

A professional setting.

Cons

This professional setting is culty corporate cringe. No safety net, 100% commission.

Full training is provided. If you have an outgoing personality and a Positive Mental Attitude, a clean Driving record and no criminal record than this company may be the fit for you,

Pros

Unlimited income and Advancement to management opportunity

Cons

Long hours, evening work

Expect to drive for hours

You will drive for hours with no guarantee of seeing anyone, and its expected of you. Your day will be 15 hr days with no financial compensation which they dont tell you as that is your training. Referrals is what you salary is based on.

Pros

Commission based when they feel like paying you it, some good people to meet

Cons

You can put into it however much time you want but in training will see no money, don't really understand how regulated the business is I dont think
