Equipment Operator in Fort St. John, BC

No consideration for home work balance
My experience is that there is poor communication. Dispatch needs work. Last minute dispatching with poor communications. When you’re on days off they call and try to get you to come back early.

Toxic environment
This company has a very toxic management environment. Your told your opinion matter until you go to give your opinion at which point it’s not even heard
Operator in Edmonton, AB

Lots of different equipment but no training for you
Avoid this company unless you want to be just a number and used and abused. They say they have a training program but in 3 plus years I have not seen it. No respect for the workers by the company at all.

Camp life.
If your a commuter and can do a life of camp, go for it. But be sure and no , after 10 years of camp , and gone 3-6 weeks a rotation to make a living , you will be divorced. Management is cruel. The job comes first. You make a mistake and it's 3 days min suspension , sitting in camp ( not paid) wondering if you have a job. Lots of equipment sitting around, as they got no work. Union company , so good luck with that starting out. Lots of rules, they even have rules , about rules. Figure that out. Pay is good , camp food and isolation. Being an experience operator willSave you. Getting by management and safety, is hit or mis. Make your money while it's hot and save for the slow times. Seasonal workers do best.
