Great Place to work
Great place to work, it had changed over the years became more streamlined, it is unionized, so there is not much opportunity for overtime and when you do have the opportunity it may be applied to your vacation or time off.
Building Worker in Downtown Vancouver

I am not at all impressed working here
I am an auxiliary on call building worker here. They seem to treat you as a 24 hour ATM machine to use whenever they want at their convenience to make deposits and withdrawals! I do not feel I am a valued appreciated employee here and may consider quitting if things do not improve. I took the job as a part time gig as I have pretty much a full time 40 hour a week job elsewhere. The job specifically said at the time they were seeking 'afternoon shift' people which I prefer doing as I have an old aging mother I look after during the day but they have tried putting me on a 5am start time which I refuse to do! I work recreational hours at my other job so me having to get up at 3:30 in the bleepin morning one can forget about that! I'm 55 years old and have done enough early morning work days in my life that I don't need that start time any longer. Management here are clueless and incompetent as far as getting paid on time, etc. I am not too impressed to say the least and I don't recommend working for these clowns.

If you're educated and ambitious look else where
They prefer hiring external candidates so don't expect to be able to move into a different position that suits your qualifications and career goals. If you are educated you can find way better jobs with higher salaries outside.

A great place to work
A warm and welcoming environment to work in with amazing coworkers and fellow patrons. The working hours go by fairly quickly and one will enjoy coming to work.
Clerk III (Property Tax Support Clerk) in Vancouver, BC
on 17 June 2020
friendly evironment, fast paced, continuous learning of Property Tax
- highly detailed work that requires consentration and accuracy throughout the day. - I have learned a great deal about Property Taxes in Vancouver. - Management are very approachable and open to hear any suggestions you might have. - It can get a little stressful with customer complaints about their taxes but we always bounce back and work together as a team. - unhappy customers - doing my job accurately and keep buing my desk up to date.
