Collaborative and fun work enviroment.
You make lots of great friends through coworkers while maintaining a safe place for the swimmers. The environment is very positive and you never feel overworked.

Fun place to work, but lacks good leadership.
Working for the city of St. Thomas was a fairly enjoyable job. You're able to get very close with your coworkers which makes work more enjoyable. Although it is fun place to work, especially in the aquatics department, there is a lack of leadership, and drama spreads amongst coworkers like wildfire.

Camp Counselor is a great job for anyone athletic that likes to work with kids
This job is good for developing people skills and leadership skills. You are constantly challenged to work with all types of people, whether they are your co-workers, kids in camp or their parents. It is a great job for someone who is interested in becoming a teacher. Hours are good and there is never a dull moment during camps and activities.

Elected City Councillor in St. Thomas, ON
on 20 April 2018
responding to voter needs and wishes
I loved being an elected city councilor, very satisfying and rewarding work. I learned so much about how municipal work and how a city functions. I also learned to accept criticism.
