Good shop techs
Fleet maintenance technician (Former Employee) - Regina, SK - 20 January 2023
Poor training and direction provided by supervisors, plus the added pressure to produce more without any help makes it a challenging place to be. Probably should not waste any time applying here, people are looked at as a cost the corporation rather than assets.
Pros
Paid hourly
Cons
Goofy shift work

Security
Cashier (Former Employee) - City of Regina - 16 April 2022
This employer provides security in an economy that doesn’t take care of an employees finances. No, they are not perfect but better than most I would say.

They pretend they care but they don't
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) - Regina, SK - 17 February 2022
The city does not care about it's employees. Once you have a medical issue, you're done, you are now responsible for paying for your benefits. They are awful to work for.

Good Place to learn how a city functions
Service Fleet Advisor (Current Employee) - Regina, SK - 27 February 2020
work in Fleet, good place to get hands on experience after a Dealership SA position. Great feeling you don't have to compete for a pay cheque.
My Managers treat you with the greatest amount of respect and open to new idea and way of doing things.

Great place to work
Manager, Corporate Strategy/Divisional Strategic Services (Former Employee) - Regina, SK - 20 February 2020
The city of Regina is a great place to work. You can have several carriers at the same employer because there is such diversity in the work that they do. You also get a sense of pride from providing services to the community that you live in. I highly recommend it as a place to work!

Slow and Boring
Clerk Typist V (Former Employee) - Regina, SK - 6 December 2019
Terrible culture, everyone is out for themselves and you have to belong to a union. They take a ridiculous amount off your paycheque and theres no room for advancement because it is all based on seniortiy, not skills

Culture is toxic
Coordinator Assistant (Former Employee) - Regina, SK - 30 October 2019
There are worse places to work, there are better places to work. The work culture is very different from what the corporation would like to convery - inclusive and safe and respectful - this is not the case on the front line with the lower level supervisors. If you can put up with it, then you will do fine. It wears on a person though........

Variety of Positions and Hours available
Supervisor, Cashier, & Program Leader (Current Employee) - Regina, SK - 29 October 2019
Pick shifts once every 4 months or sub and pick-up shifts. Great for working around other jobs or school.
Lots of variety for shifts: set up events, kids programs, office positions, cashiering etc.
Management is absolutely horrendous.
Pros
Flexibility
Cons
Management
